Most of these changes sound good, except the ones regarding combat. I like having to time swings properly and think when I have to block, dodge, counter-attack or something like that. Making dodge into an invulnerability button without Vigor cost would ruin this and make combat much less challenging. If anything, either change this based on difficulty (ie, blocking requires no Vigor on Easy) or add a second option, kind of like being able to switch to easy QTEs, you should be able to switch to easy blocking/combat. Making a permanent change would ruin it for us who actually like it this way.
I agree with Bloodred on the blocking thing. It would probably be helpful to sort the ideas into improvements that are no-brainers (like adding a junk-section to the inventory) and changes that might be appreciated by some, but undesired by others.

.
DESIGN CHANGES:
- after a fight is over it is quite difficult to find all of the enemy drops if there is grass or water: as with everything else you nearly have to stand on top of an item and be facing the proper direction to be able to pick it up.
Pressing the Alt Key or left Control Stick makes Geralt use his medallion to highlight usable stuff. This gives the little loot sacks shining orange auras.
BUGS:
- bug when removing weapons, sometimes get the bleed effect on screen?
If your sword grants a +vitality bonus, you lose some life when you sheathe it. Therefore you get that bleed effect (edges of the screen turning red).

I'd like to add those to UI changes:
- Drinking potions should end meditation mode (after the drinking animation, Geralt should get up instead of displaying the meditation menu again). This way, drinking potions would be quicker and more convenient.
- XBox Controller's left analogue stick should be usable in the quick menu again. Also, instead of having to go through signs/quick items step-by-step, it should be sufficient to e.g. just press and hold left to select signs, then move to the upper left to select Aard.
- XBox Controller's analogue shoulder buttons (used to block and bring up quick menu) should be more responsive - you shouldn't have to fully press them in to trigger, pressing them halfway in should be sufficient (this way, the button would respond to input more quickly).
- XBox Controller's rumble should work. Easiest was to implement this would probably be to haved it rumble for damage taken, with the intensitiy of the rumble corresponding to the amount of damage. Option to switch rumble on/off should be added to them control settings.

There's a big bug regarding deep alchemy tree. an upgraded deep alchemy is supposed to give you bonus 30% to dmg by being intoxicated alone, instead it gives you none. this is easy to check, just go to your stat screen before and after drinking potion, you'll see geralt's dmg is unchanged. Note that i'm talking about the passive boost, not the "berserk" adrenaline move, since that one works correctly
Not sure if it has been mentioned already or not but I would like to be able to switch from character screen to inventory to journal and back again without having to go back out to the game and then pressing the right key.
The commander that sends the Kaedweni soldier to go get some reinforcements in the ghastly battle is named Aedernian Knight's Wraith.
pffft for a well-rated RPG, this game sure is missing some basic RPG elements.

- the entire crafting interface needs to be revamped for efficiency

- need ability to drink a stupid potion with a click of a button, out of meditation (that part is total BS)

- we cannot compare store items to currently equipped / owned items side by side, are you kidding me? Even the worst RPG games like Dragon Age 2 have that! The game doesn't even tell me if I already own an item, so I end up paying for something I already have. And I can't POSSIBLY know that I have that item BECAUSE I CANT SORT MY DAMN INVENTORY!

- so give us ability to sort items in inventory

- provide a storage chest ! Until then I'm using the zero-weight mod.

Great concept for an RPG, but unfortunately it's an unfinished product.
my bug is when riding the kayran cant get it to knock the wall you just fall off its a big bug
i agree with depletionmode on the potion drinking design.
potions should be allowed to be taken in the same way as TW1 only dont allow them to be taken during combat to maintain the tactical side of the meditation design.

I agree that the UI isn't the best and it could use some improving, however potions can only be used while meditating because that's what the lore says. Potions are toxic, chugging potions like fresh spring water is literally deadly. Considering how well-established the lore is, I think it's best not to just ignore it.
Diagram for whetstone please.
Speed up the animations a bit. Half of my deaths are due to slow animations ruining the responsiveness.
Stuff that I know can be fixed:

-The menus need re-working, especially the menus for vendors. You can't compare stats of equipment vendor is selling with your currently equiped gear, you have to back completely out in order to switch from trading to crafting, etc.

-The ability to sort items in menus.

-The buttons don't respond to your commands unless you stop pressing EVERY other button except the one you want to use, and even then the response time is sluggish (I'm looking at you block button).

Stuff I want changed, but it might not be possible:

-Make it possible for players to play through the game using only swordsmanship (i.e. never using bombs, signs) This would involve:
-Making the skill to damage multiple opponents (I forgot what it was called) also interrupt the attacks of any opponent it damages, just like group style in TW1.
-Not letting groups of enemies damage Geralt while he is performing a riposte.
HUGE nerf on Quenn. After the Kayran fight, if I'm putting all my points into magic, I can go to level 3 queen, and be essentially invincible for the rest of the game. I would suggest moving it to where Yreden is now.

You can just use the swordsmanship, even on hard, i am the living proof of it. Well, actually i am no living proof of it, i use quen sign too but i can manage it without using it, when you invest a point in the ability that increases the ground covered while you dodging you can play without quen.

I agree that the quen is very powerful but think of this before wanting a nerf on quen, quen is the only useful sign you have, you can complete the game without even casting another spell once in combat, apart from a few special cases like the kayran, ofcourse, if they are going to nerf it they should make the other spells useful, which is a hard thing to do if you ask me.

Now, lets come to what do i want fixed/changed...

Alchemy and alchemy tree is totally useless you can finish the game without even drinking a single potion if i remember correctly and also because we can't drink potions without meditating we can't have potion effects during some of the hard fights(like draug) or if we are to fight a character but we must have a long talking session before fighting, even if we drink potions, potions lose most/all of their time. So give us time before important fights to drink potion and pause the potion timer while we are talking.

We Also need ploughable characters in chapter 3.

Enemies should be balanced; during the prologue and chapter 1 Geralt is so weak it makes me wonder what had happened to the Geralt in one month? Is regaining his memory weakens his combat capability? But then, when you are about midway through chapter 2 Geralt becomes so powerful it makes me wonder why not give a button to insta-kill the enemies so we can just loot them. I actually use my silver sword most of the time against humans to get a challenge(playing on hard) and to be able to use group finisher. And use my steel sword against some of the monsters so fight becomes more challenging. Please don't misunderstand me, i don't want to have level based enemies, i just want to have a little more challenge after chapter 2 and don't want the most famed witcher to become a wimp during the first hours of the game.

I also would like to be able to swap the sorting system of the items in inventory between according to their names and according to the time i got them.

I almost forgot, Dragon skin armor and Kayran carapace armor should be buffed armor wise as they both are tough opponents which has real good armor. And there are a lot of useless crafting components like harpy claws, arachas armor, draugir armor fragment... diagrams that uses these should be added and we should also be given a diagram of a dragon scale armor.

We need to be able to bet more money on dice poker. I am not complaining that we don't get enough money, if you play right you can have more than 10000 orens by the time you start chapter 3, i only want this because playing dice doesn't seem to be rewarding the player.

Put a limit on the amount of autosaves as if you dont manually delete some the game slow to a crawl when you go to the load or save game screen due to the amount of saves available.
