Hello everyone,

As far as I know, there is no such feature.
It would be cool to know which books and documents have been read, just like in Witcher 1.
Agreed 100% The volume of books and letter collected is staggering. I have lost count of the number of books I bought only to find I had already read them!

I remember there was a mod in Skyrim to achieve this. Witcher 3 needs it, too :D
The entire UI needs a complete overhaul.

* The Alchemy page is a mess. I "already have" 90% of my potions and there is no option to hide them.
* Same goes for the Crafting. Its nice to craft Witcher gear, but whats with all the other crap? I haven't crafted a single piece of the "normal" stuff since level 3. Let us delete diagrams or at least hide them.
* Same goes for the quest page. I just don't want to have to scroll through all the horse races and gwent players to find my next quest. Make them hideable or at the very least give them their own category.
* The "quest item" page of the inventory is totally broken, since half the quest items appear in the "other" category. I can't tell how often I sold quest items like the rose or the Enterprise communicator simply by trying to get rid of the enormous amount of trash you find on your travels.
* There is no way to hide gear from traders at all, like all the sets you need to keep to improve them later on. Storage would help, but that's nowhere in sight either. No idea who dropped the ball on that one at CDP.
* The "useable items" is yet another mess. Potions, oils, bombs and alike should have their own page and not be mixed with stupid books.

And what does CDP do instead? Increase the loot window size so god can read it from space.

Thank you so much!

Wait... so it is not like the quest items stays in the Quest-tray until you no longer need the item, then it gets to the trash-tray and you can safely sell it? I thought it would be that way and sold some items that were quest items before.

I think that better to mark unread books.
Maybe they can to be marked as "new" until reading.

It feels like a good idea!
Sometimes I wonder how they can abandon such features.
It would also be nice if Recipies told you what level the gear it is meant for and if you already have it or not. I get this sour feeling that CDPR didn't play on keyboards or on Death Marches mode or the Alchemy Tree.

There's so many things wrong or flawed with the game, or contradicting mechanics. I hope that Mod Kit comes soon so things can be fixed, altered and improve. The Alchemy Tree is broken in how bad it is compared to the others. It makes Death Marches 3x harder than it should be.
I think they had this in one of the older games. Was it the first or second i dont remember but. Now i need to read every note or book all the time to get an update for whatever it is that is needed.

Wouldnt hurt if they took a look at the stuff Vaedian talks about aswell.
The more I play, the worst it becomes.
I have a LOT of papers now and I don't have the courage to search the new ones everytime, like a needle in a haystack.

Bump this.

I think that was actually needed for consoles. I can imagine how hard it is to read small font on a TV 2m away. This is a good change.

Inventory screen is really bad. I have problems with finding new items because that yellow star blends with all those colorful icons. Sorting helps a bit (puts new items at the top), but moving mouse over new stuff before sorting breaks it. Also, exiting with ESC is buggy (have to spam it or focus loops back). It's not a big deal. Just annnnnoying...

So keep it to the consoles or at least make it optional. These half-arsed changes worsen an already ridiculously stupid UI.

Yup.
I don't even understand how documents are classified.
+1.
