I'm mostly voting for this because the original version was pulled from Steam to make way for the Remastered release...that never hit PC. It's on PlayStation! It's on smartphones! It's not on PC anymore.
I remember playing this years ago, and because I stubbornly wanted to 100% the game despite the superboss in my way, I paid for my folly facing the strongest version of the final boss since they're stronger the more sidequests you do. So, I almost won, died, and just used a trainer to no-effort it and took my shameful win just to be done with it.
A couple of years ago, I got the itch to go through the game again. While I made use of New Game Plus bonuses, I also did lots of research and put people into better classes and better Unions. I floundered the first time with a grasp of the game mechanics, but I actually understood the second time. Things actually clicked! I still ended up cheating for the final battle (just to get HP% accessories on everyone), but eh, my experience the second time catapulted it to one of my favorite games now.
Despite that, I'd still recommend hesitation/research. Sure, it's a turn-based strategy RPG, but it's closer to a mix of SaGa and Ogre Battle than something like Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre. It's obtuse as hell, classes unlock by what actions a character takes (but what actions are available depends on the class of the Union leader and random factors), but class changing is not only automatic but is one way, too. Classes aren't exotic like Black Mage or Samurai, but they mostly open up options in battle and skew a character towards acting a specific way. And you can't even directly give your allies equipment?!
If you check reviews, make sure they're not for the Xbox 360 version. The PC version fixed a lot of issues the original game had like being able to use Unions full of unique leader-type characters instead of them just being leaders, a Turbo Mode, Battle Rank (which impacts enemy strength) increases slower, etc.
The remaster is only on consoles, while the original version for PC was delisted, leaving key sellers who inflate the game's price as the only way of playing it on PC. The game has a genuinely fun squad oriented battle system that made it really engaging, even if I wasn't very good at it. Putting it on PC will do wonders for its' preservation.
I enjoyed playing this until I got to the end and discovered that I was underpowered for endgame content. It seemed to me that the game had a balance issue that wasn't addressed so unfortunately I wasn't able to finish it. Maybe that could be addressed in an updated release if it ever returns.
The game has a weak story, but the combat system is unique and FUN! Naturally, some people decided to cheese the game, but even that has to be done in a weird way.
This JRPG originally came out on XBox, but barely fit on the platform. The developers re-worked quite a few aspects before releasing the game on PC. Steam had it for years but, when Square/Enix finally did an HD version and released it on Playstation, they delisted it on Steam. It's ridiculously hard to get on PC now.

Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008.
The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, alignment based spells, items, armour, towns, buildings, and expressions, as well as the ability to give children objects. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who played only minor roles in the original game, are now given more importance and are included in certain main and side quests. Other character-based augmentations include the voice of the antagonist, Jack of Blades, sounding deeper, harsher and more demonic, and the ability to uncover (and resolve) the murder mystery of Lady Grey's sister. The updated edition of the game also applied fixes for certain glitches, such as the "dig glitch," in which the protagonist would move backward each time he used the shovel, pushing him through solid objects and sometimes trapping him.Action Fantasy Comedy Sandbox
AlexanderAlexander is an RTS based on the movie of the same same, and the real-life Alexander the Great. The game follows the same general path as the movie, and includes media straight from the film. Present in the game are Greek, Persian, Indian and Egyptian forces, with a campaign for each. The hybrid 2D/3D engine (2D units, 3D terrain - also used in Cossacks 2: Napoleonic Wars) allows for a very large number of troops on the field. This is used to good effect, as battles can easily contain hundreds of units. Finally, multiplayer and skirmish levels are available, and the soundtrack (of the game and the movie) is by the composer Vangelis.Historical Warfare
Black Rock Shooter: The GameBlack Rock Shooter: The Game is an action role-playing game and based on the Black Rock Shooter franchise created by Huke. The players take on the role of the eponymous Black Rock Shooter. The game is divided into several missions in which the player must clear objectives to progress. On the main overworld, BRS can explore the available areas and look for certain items. Battles begin when the player comes into contact with an enemy on the overworld. During a battle, BRS can aim and shoot with her rock cannon at enemies, block against attacks, and sidestep to avoid them completely. If the player fires the rock cannon or uses the sidestep too much in a short time, the system will overheat, leaving the player vulnerable to attack until it cools down. Throughout the game, players can earn abilities that can be equipped to BRS and used in battle, each with their own cooldown periods. These include offensive attacks such as a powerful blast, a sniper rifle, or support abilities that can increase BRS' stats such as her attack or defense. Certain sections will also see BRS ride a motorcycle, in which she can attack enemies on either side of her or use weapons to fire in front of enemies.Action
