Virtual Bart was one of many 90's games to attempt virtual reality concept. It's essentially a spiritual successor to Bart's Nightmare. Just like that Bart game, you play as Bart in a few mini games. Unlike Bart's Nightmare, you don't have to walk repeatedly for something to happen. Bart's in an VR machine that acts like a wheel that selects stuff. You even get or lose extra lifes as well. All the mini games are notably different from each other. Most of them are slightly different platformer mini games. Dino Bart being my favorite among those. The other mini games are vastly different. You have a post apocalypse mini game similar to Mad Max with Road Rash. You get a water slide mini game that's surprisingly creative. Some of the most fun game overs I ever seen in an game. Of course, we gotta talk about the famous throwing tomatoes/eggs mini game. This is indirectly you playing Golf. You have to line up your shot similar to that sport. This had a deep learning curve. I never forget the mess up game over for this mini game. Homer is eating corn dogs then freaks out over an corn dog looking like Bart. Before he eats it more like Treehouse of Horror humor. This is very likely the easiest Acclaim Simpsons game to get into. You also get my favorite mode, Practice Mode. You can play as any mini game without worrying about any game overs. I wish Bart's Nightmare had that!!! Virtual Bart does differ from SNES and Genesis versions in a few areas. For the most part the same exact game.
