MJVandershonk: slightly unrelated but has anyone else found galaxy multiplayer suddenly stopped working?

Lexor: Is your problem fixed already or it still does exist?
I still have the issue. I contacted GOG support about it a couple of weeks ago and they replied quickly asking for logs, i've sent them but haven't recieved a response back as of yet.

Can you check on your system firewall what remote IP/port your game is trying to contact before the multiplayer mode fails?

I'm seeing several connections:

galaxycommunications
UDP OUT 77.79.249.151:514
TCP OUT 199.232.57.55:443
TCP OUT 199.232.57.55:443 (from different source address)

Both TCP are starting and stopping automaticaly

Galaxy Overlay
TCP OUT 199.232.57.55:443

Iron harvest
TCP OUT 35.227.230.186:443
TCP OUT 34.107.172.168:443
TCP OUT 34.111.113.40:443
TCP OUT 207.154.210.110:443

Just did a ping test using my router diagnostics on some of these and they look fine, no issues, I think the overlay one has another connection that blinks on and off on game start.
At least for me Resident Evil does not run on Windows 7. Maybe someone else can try and confirm it?

IMHO this is the issue. I've asked the other user (on newer OS) to tell me similar thing and he didnt see any IP connection on port 514.

But I need another newer OS user to confirm this 100%.

I've been wondering myself if perhaps gog changed something "behind the scenes" and galaxy is trying to contact a dead server or something. There has been a lot of server issues this year.

The most probably reason is some update to the servers which closed this 514 port. That's my idea.
Perhaps it's too fresh of a release for anyone to know the answer to my question, but here goes: can anyone confirm if Love 3 can be played on W7? Thanks in advance! :)
Does someone know, if Toy Tanks (https://www.gog.com/de/game/toy_tanks) runs on Win 7 or Win 8.1?

Tried demo on Steam, works great on Win 7.

Free demo for you to test: https://rodney-luck.itch.io/toy-tanks
Thank you very much, triock and Lexor!
Looks like I answered my own question. :P It did not occur to me to visit Itch.io for a demo... Thanks to Lexor's post above for giving me the idea! I ended up downloading and playing the demo for Love 3 and I can confirm that it ran well on W7.

When they said it was a "precision" platformer, they were not kidding. xD Challenging, yet retro charming!

"Union of Gnomes" is OK on Win 7
Although most people here are more computer literate than I am... just a friendly reminder that some games on Itch.io have in-browser demos, and that functionality here doesn't necessarily indicate that the full product will also funciton in Windows 7. On the topic, did anybody happen to test the Metal Slug Tactics demo while it was available? I missed it.
