Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

SirPrimalform: Hmm, Galaxy has spontaneously stopped working. Today when I tried to start it I got "Failed to load game database.". Haven't updated or otherwise knowingly changed the installation, just suddenly won't work. There's no "repair installation" option as far as I can find and running the installer just tells me I already have this version. Any suggestions other than uninstalling the whole thing (which I'm hoping to avoid).
What MarkoH01 ^ said, but here's a detailed answer: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002280385--Failed-to-load-game-database-Error
Don't know if it was already said but we have a new Galaxy version:

1.2.5 (April 12, 2017)

Changes and Improvements:
-A new overlay was released fixing many bugs and crashes with various games
-We've added ability to disable overlay on per-game basis
-We've added ability to disable cloud saves synchronization on per-game basis
-UI changes in game settings
-Improved readability of feature descriptions in Galaxy Client settings window
-Changelog texts of the game and Galaxy Client are positioned better

Bugfixes:
-Blue dot for update available will not be shown after scan&import
-When you change sidebar layout - the blue dot for update available will not disappear
-Fixed a bug that online status of your friend (in friends window) sometimes stopped updating
-Few crash fixes when Galaxy Client was losing connection to Galaxy Communication Service
-Overlay will no longer create empty folders in screenshots directory

And the changelog is not even complete. They also added the possibility to disable/enable cloud saving on per game basis. Imo they are adding the correct things but still no sign of the possibility to have installers/extras again downloaded in different directories.

Somebody out there is doing some listening though, very good update...

EDIT: Also somebody really needs to design a better layout for the UI though, glad to have these features but I hope someone out there has a updated UI sitting on a dev branch. I just assume for now they are wanting to get everything functional and are just shoving features into appropriate spots and calling it a day.

Still don't know why showing my friendlist in normal Galaxy is done in a second and whenever I open up the overlay Galaxy takes about 20 seconds or so just to check everybody of my friends status. When I try to open a chat Galaxy says me that I am not connected to the internet.
Post edited April 13, 2017 by MarkoH01
Another thing that needs fixing. Galaxy remembers the friend list position only for the running process. On the next start the position is reset and it appears on the top left again.

For me this works great, but I am having nothing but issues with other parts in Galaxy that are trying to query information from the server. For instance, looking at a game page right now and waiting for Galaxy to query language settings under configure game and I have been sitting here watching the spinner spin for about 5 min now, and the install windows also takes about 5 min to load.

I have let every part of Galaxy I can find through the firewall, and have just the basic windows defender antivirus running and still it does nothing but spin.

This is annoying as hell and nobody seems to be able to either fix this issue or tell me how I can fix it...

MarkoH01: I would suggest trying this, because it seems to be the solution for incompatible databases. I would suggest to simply rename the folder or at least backup it.

Ah, I skimmed past that as I'm not trying to run 1.1 but I'll give it a go, thanks.

Johny.: Since when you are encountering those connection issues?
I can't remember if it was like this before 1.2 or not. I don't think it was this bad if it was. I've checked everything on my end as far as I can check... the only thing that comes to mind is I have a high PING with my ISP due to it being satellite (about 600ms - 700ms). Maybe it keeps timeing out or something during the HTTP request? I can't imagine that causing it to take 5 min to load though, for example, the install window.

I could proably make a video though if you want to see how long it takes for me... makes adding games to the queue a pain because it takes so long. Usually though if I restart Galaxy right before I install a game, it works much faster. Seems like the issue is worse if Galaxy is left running for a while.

I just made a video of this so I could properly time it. It took WAY longer than I thought... it took nearly 13 min to fully load the install window. :/

I'll send you a link.

EDIT: Just for the heck of it. I closed Galaxy completely, and restarted it. I then tried to load the install window for the EXACT same game again. It took about 20 seconds after restarting. So we went from 13 min to 20 seconds just by restarting Galaxy.

Something is clearly not right here...

Installed Witcher 3 GOTY using the backup Installer (newest version). Started Galaxy having auto updates disabled. Galaxy did not show me a blue dot but when I looked into the settings it said that the version I am using is not up to date. Started the game and I could not use Overlay (Overlay option also missing in the game card of Galaxy). I needed to activate the actual version manually to let Galaxy download some additional files and everything works all right. So if you have disabled auto updates the blue dot seems only to occur when there is a newer version and not if there is a Galaxy version of the game having the same version number.

Edit: Same problem happened with Firewatch so it seems to be a general problem.

exosquadron: So I downloaded the standalone installer for Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers, and when I tried to scan and import it to Galaxy, it told me no games were found. I then went to the game in my library and attempted to import it there through the "Manage Installation" option, and it also told me "No Games Found". Any ideas?
Yeah, either GOG has still not added support to the standalone installers for that game for it to be recognized by Galaxy properly, or Galaxy has bugs still that prevent it from properly detecting the game. There seems to still be hundreds of games in this sad state, but I don't think they plan on updating any of them unless the publisher puts out a new patch or something. Presumably it is too much effort.
Does anyone know if In-Game Overlay works in Firewatch?
