== BUG REPORTING ==

Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

MarkoH01: So that is it? Public release and not a word on the thing that several people complained a lot about here in the thread alone: will we get the possibility to assign a different destination folder for backups and extras like it was in the pre release version? I could rephrase the question: why taking something away at all that was working without problems?
Well they did just include some new features in the last patch, release will probably include another new patch... don't give up hope yet, they might add it back in before release.

After those imo great improvements in the last patches they really have earned my faith back. There was a time when I was thinking that Galaxy will never be of much use and that it is so broken that it is more of a burden than a help - the actual version however works pretty good.

While I love the new stuff they added in the last patch... every time I look at the setting's page for a game I feel like someone said "screw it" and just dropped the features into the UI without any real thought to how they could structure this a little better. It feels like the people working on the UI are programmers only... no designers.

I mean you got radio buttons on top of checkboxes all mixed in together with long boring text. The settings page has a convoluted UI and someone still insist on writing text like "Cloud saves" instead of using a little more conventional form "Cloud Saves". Again these aren't sentences.

Laid out text that should probably follow the alphabet... Auto-updates, then Version, then Cloud saves, then in-game overlay? Seems like there was no logical thought behind how this was laid out. Cloud Saves and In-game overlay should probably also show for every game but be greyed out if doesn't currently work for said game.

Why not use some tabs like you do on the overview page for "Headlines & Description"? The rollback feature could have it's own tab next to override features.

I know this is nitpicking, but I feel like this is warranted heading into a release version when Galaxy is A) still buggy, B) still missing previous features, C) still missing planned features (based on the images on the Galaxy page) and D) has had no UI overhaul that is really needs in some parts and largely still looks the same since alpha. Why are we rushing this to release when there is no need too?

I like Galaxy 1.2 and the Galaxy team did an amazing job with this update but people are going to expect a better piece of software in a release version then they are going to get with Galaxy 1.2. Unless some major patch comes out this week or next to address some of the issue... which is unlikely at this point.

I defiantly like the improvements, but for me Galaxy is still way to buggy to be considered a released version and the UI needs work for sure.

skeletonbow: Whereby "share owned games" you mean "show my friends what games I own" rather than "actually share my games with everyone"? :)

I would like #2 also, but with the caveat that it has an option to not be based on wall clock time alone, but that it monitors my biological activity to determine when I am sleeping or awake and then updates my games when it confirms biological sleep. While some might laugh at the notion, there will come a day in the future where we all take this feature forgranted. It may require wearable computing devices perhaps with sensors in them, but it is coming. Why wait for Steam and others to do it and play catch up when you can talk to wearable computing devices now and be the first! :)
Lol, yea I should have worded that better and don't wish to much for that second part... I think you might be waiting to the year 2077 for that one. :P

Ugh when can I add some launch parameters for a game in Galaxy?
Just tried the beta for the first time today, since i really like the idea of having achievement pop ups.
However playing the Witcher 3 is.. impossible. Massive massive stuttering regardless of full screen / borderless Vsync, frame capped via Rivatuner at 60 - 70 - 80 or not (80 fps+ on a 60hz monitor).
Disabling the Galaxy overlay fixes (as expected) the issue.

Are you playing with the old overlay on Galaxy v1.1 or have updated (by enabling preview updates) to Galaxy 1.2? I know some people reported stuttering on the old version, but I have been playing with the new version enabled and can't say I've noticed any stuttering.

As stated, im on the (latest) beta thus preview version, after all, Witcher 3 GOTY doesnt even have achievement overlays pre 1.2.x (only non GoTY has them)

Well that isn't obvious because the latest official version of the beta is still v1.1 which is why I asked. The preview version has to be manually enabled. The older overlay does work on v1.1 and you didn't specify you were using GOTY edition.

Regardless is your GPU drivers up to date? We have the same GPU. You may want to submit a bug report and include your logs. Instructions are at the top of this thread.
The Cloud Storage maintenance ran a bit longer than expected, but the operation was completed successfully and all servers are back up.
So today it's the day?

When will we be able to rearrange our library tags inside account settings in Galaxy? I don't really want to log in in browser just to move them. A quick search in this topic says that it's not working for 2 years...
GOG, you rock. Thank you. :)
My sources say some people will be happy pretty soon...
