They should sell Gog-chan body pillows
Gog has sweet art/graphics I would happily buy Gog branded stuff and maybe some FCK DRM stuff too :)

Dreaganos: Why only the normal stuff like mugs and shirts?
Wanna make all the dosh? GoG-Chan Bodypillow!
I actually agree that this could be a pretty good marketing gimmick, but this seems like something a site like Kotaku might latch onto and criticize, and based on the recent past, GOG is trying to seriously avoid controversy.

Aww ok then, gogbear-pillowcase is fine too.
But seriously yeah i know GOG got enough flak last year that they had enough for the next couple.
So anything that could stirr up a hornets nest the will avoid.
Yeah right, more overheads and quicker exit from business.
Would definitely wear a GOG tee shirt.
I'd buy a mug with

'If you believed our core values, you're a mug!

printed on it.
GOG-Tan body lotion, clearly.

But yeah, I'd wear a shirt.
I would definitely buy a gog cap.
Combined with wearing a gog tee shirt you get additional bonuses like +2 to "personal freedom" and +1 for "ownership".
but beware: you also get -1 for "always online" & -2 for "being a pirate".

joelandsonja: One suggestion I would like to pass on to the staff would be to open a merch store that sells clothing, and other material that would be great for marketing.
As much as I would love to being able to buy a GOG shirt ("I like it cheap and unprotected", anyone?),...I see a problem with that suggestion.

Any merchandise (shirts, posters, mugs, etc.) has to be produced first, before you can sell it.

Which means, you have to invest (a lot of) money in advance - which might not be the best way for a business that is already in financial distress.

Then comes the question "what merch do we produce"?
Let's say tshirts...Now - I like the slogan I quoted above - others might not want it on their shirts. So you'd have to produce shirts with different motives on them.

Also - sizes...there's no "one size fits all" when it comes to shirts...so you'd have to produce your shirts in several sizes, ranging from XS to XXXXXL (or whatever size the average US American wears).

Not to mention: postage and shipping costs...you can't email your shirts and mugs to your customers.

And in a shop where a lot of people complain about the price of the main product (=software) not being the same worldwide, already - I don't see a huge market for products where you have to pay extra money (and on top of that - different amounts, depending on where in the world you live), just to get them.

So: would GOG-merch be nice?
Yes, but (at least right now) it might not be financially feasible.
GOG should open a digital game store where they primarily offer older games no longer being offered anywhere else. I mean they could even use their current name, just maybe call it...good...old...games? Just my 2 cents...anyway here's hoping Call of Duty Black Ops 4 comes to GOG. I love buying new release games here. Fucking love it.
