Themken: I just now checked my box and it seems I was wrong and it had all five dlcs, mothership Zeta included. My intention has always been to return to the Fallout world but somehow the only rpg I ever seem to play is Mount & Blade with short forays into others (at least Diablo, Divine Divinity, The Witcher, Torchlight.... all for several hours but left on pause for ages).

I won New Vegas in a giveaway but but... that craving for Fallout seems to only have resurfaced the day I entered for that, terribly sorry whoever it was who gave it to me (a look tells me it was Doc0075).

Not adding any more rpgs to my backlog. Nope no no and especially not from giveaways.
I know the feeling, after Quake 3, I largely lost my interest in playing any more games in that series. Same goes for Doom 3, it's not that there weren't good games afterwards, I just lost my faith in their ability to produce games I like and had other things to do.

Maybe not "overpriced", but when I bought it I was expecting to see the printed manuals in the box. :-(

That's the second reason I rarely buy physical releases anymore (1st=DRM). Even collector's editions started replacing printed documentation with (often low quality) toys.
I still have the old D&D PC game huge manuals(silver collection or some such)....thick arse books they are.

Quake 4 is decent for the price one can get it at now, tbh. It is a bit short, though.

One of the most overpriced games I ever bought was probably Dear Esther for $1.49 or so if memory serves correct. I should have waited it out to get a price drop and then waited for a big sale promotion in order to get it at a more reasonable price appropriate to the entertainment value it provided.

Life lessons learned!
Probably Borderlands 1&2 at full price before i had been fully converted into drm free gaming, I don't know why exactly but i never got into them. The shooting felt mediocre, the world uninteresting, humour didn't stick with me and felt too silly, the loot never felt special and so on.

It's a game i wouldn't mind if i never play it again, it was that bad.
Final Fantasy 13. The game is so bad even giving it away for free would be asking too much.
So I was young and Rockstar was still a hot new stuff developers who came out with amazing stuff like GTA series. Then they announced State of Emergency for PS2 a game about riot and I was hyped. So hyped I decided to sell three games just so I can get that game day 1.

BIG MISTAKE

The game is complete garbage. I bought it in Australia so rather than paying $60 I remember paying it for $70. Total disappointment.
I bought Starlord before the first* PC gaming magazine appeared over here (PC Gamer UK, december '93 I think).

Ok, the game wasn't THAT bad, but I was a teenager with a budget for maximum 2 games per year.

I still miss those great reviews. :-(

*I don't know if it was actually the first, but definitely the first PC gaming magazine I ever saw.

Guitar Hero Live

90% of the songs can only be played using the online streaming service and it's filled with microtransactions.

But guess what ? Servers were closed last year so you can only play the solo now... awesome :)
