A hail of artillery pierces tanks and grocery stores, as homes, terrified men, and boys burn under sheets of napalm. Retreat? Never. These are your homes - and you've said your goodbyes fifteen seconds ago. A stunning flash engulfs the now radioactive pit formerly known as Jamestown High and for a few seconds there is silence. But the battle rages on, a dozen blocks down, and your attention is needed elsewhere.

World in Conflict is one of a kind, really. It's an RTS that succeeded in becoming both action-oriented and incredibly tactical, easily accessible but challenging, and a beautiful spectacle of war. It wasn't the first to do many of the things that make it brilliant, but the combination of small-scale tactics on huge battlefields, and the sheer destructive force at your fingertips is unlike any other. The way I see it, GOG decided to not include a serial when they released the game (1 September) as the multiplayer servers were supposed to shut down on 6 October. Since, however, the shutdown was postponed, my advice would be to contact GOG's support by going here: https://www.gog.com/support/contact/technical_issues_with_games/world_in_conflict_complete_edition . Then, select "multiplayer key request" as the problem type and explain the situation in the message field below.

MaGo72: Normally any required serial numbers should be on the account page when you select the game, I think there is even an extra entry when you open the menu, where you can access the store page, changelog etc.

edit:
It the the "more" drop down menu, there should be an entry for the serial.

Try doing this from your account page in the browser, instead of Galaxy. However, for myself I get a "Serial Keys Depleted" message for WiC instead of a key.

Lemon_Curry: Unfortunately, multiplayer is only available via LAN:

MULTIPLAYER NOTICE: Online servers will be shut down on the 6th of October 2015. After that day multiplayer will be possible only through LAN.

There is still a way to play this online. Download Game Ranger. In the past I've seen a couple of hosts for it, but even if you don't see it now, you can still host one yourself and tell your friends.

The serial key for this game was only necessary for online multiplayer (not single player or LAN). Since the servers shut down some time ago, you shouldn't need the serial for anything.

Hi all,

just bought this here as i heard it was playable here (as opposed to on uplay where it doesnt work either) it installs fine but when i launch the game it appears on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds then just dissapears no error message or anything i have tried:

reinstalling
verifying files
and dx10flag is already set to zero so that hasnt helped either
if anyone can tell me how i can get this to work i would be extreamly apreciative espeically since i dont think i can get a refund on it now?

GOG actually helps you get games working if you contact support. They provide refunds if they can't get it to work for you.
