After their escape, Count Karnstein locked himself in his cabin and didn't come out until the next afternoon when Clíodhna called a meeting. He fell into restless slumber, and while awake tried to occupy the mind reading random fragments from the beholder book.

He looked at his, rather worn at this point, cloak and asked to refashion it into a hooded cloak with reinforced shoulder cape (I don't think color was ever specified so let's assume it's dark charcoal). If there's enough materials left, he would also like a reinforced waistcoat in some neat color, like deep burgundy, navy blue or emerald green (depending what's available).

So spidersilk reinforced shoulder cape and waistcoat, over a dark charcoal cashmere-like hooded cloak should be fine. What would be your preference? We have the navy blue and deep burgundy, depends on how bright an emerald green but it should not be a problem.

bjgamer: We soon be headin' into the Weirding Sea. Magic operates differently there. Spells get perverted or work strangely, if they work at all. Magic that be unattached to a source or item often gets twisted or consumed there.
"Admiral, Devin showed me how to detect cursed items wi' me dirk. Will that continue to work there, since it's tied to an item, or does it need more attachment? And the same for me flute and portable hole?"

Grog'tial was forced to pick up an entirely new outfit when returning to the Dwarven tunnels (as everything he had stored at home for the last too many years had - *shudders* - spider webs on it, so was completely unsuitable for wearing, while the clothes he was wearing before had been replaced with the pink tutu e.a.). As such, he requests the admiral to simply reinforce his unobtrusive anthracite coat. Matching gloves would be welcome, too, though he isn't fussy about the color.

[Grog'tial questions if current magic items will continue to work, requests reinforcement for his current anthracite coat, and asks for matching gloves]

Yeah, only the shoulder cape part of the cloak should be reinforced with spidersilk. Basically it should look something like on the picture.
As for waistcoat, dark emerald with black finish would do nicely:) If you don't have dark, go with burgundy.

Captain Baldbeard marvels at all the otherworldly things he has seen working with this crew. Despite not being the most financially enriching group he has been with, he's learnt so much otherwise.

He requests a deep red pirate coat for himself: not so bright as to call attention to himself when stealth is required, but rather deep enough to send chills down the bones of any who have to face up against it.

Devsea: Overhearing Captain BenKii's discussion and noting the warning glow to his lady's eyes, Devin borrows the Rapier of +1 Parry and offers it to Captain BenKii. "Be ye familiar with rapier, Captain BenKii? It be a weapon of both skill and mental tactics. If not, I be willing to teach ye. Or maybe ye be more in the mood for another game of cards?" Devin will also ask Kyp if he wants to join in, either two against Devin himself, or a round robin. If Captain BenKii selects cards, Devin will also invite others and play fair.
"A bit o' sparring may be the thing to pass the time." said BenKii, "Aye! Thank ye for the rapier. I be needing to brush up on me melee skills."
"A new coat or a reinforced one... If I were to get a new one I would want it to be designed to have very little if any drag when swimming."

"I think I will go for a new coat if you can design it to work well in water and the color should be a water like blue so I will blend in more in water."

"Aye, your dirk will continue to work well, as will your flute and portable hole," Clíodhna replies. "It be things like spells not attached to scrolls, or magic not anchored in something. Devin's lute and flute and other items anchor his bardic spells, Aeshma's potions will still work, as will anything she anchors to a gem, but you will see her starting to work with a wand or other items there, not just chanting her spells freely. Gilius's pendant, staff, pet rock will all work, as will Crew's charms, weapons and items. But the magic in the Weirding Sea be a wild magic, harder to ease into control, easy to become twisted. It be the reason we have been securing the magic in the items already, so the magic won't become twisted once we cross into the Weirding Sea."

She arranges to work on Grog'tial's current coat while he's sleeping and have it back to him in the morning, along with a matching pair of goatskin gloves.

Captain Baldbeard is the next one who finds himself stripping off his coat and encircled and measured by the string, which goes so far as to braid his beard out of its way temporarily. All is returned to normal once the string is done.

For swimming, Clíodhna advises Kyp to go with a jacket so the longer panels of a long coat won't drag and slow him in the water. She suggests a teal color, like Argy's, with deep teal accents to make it look like variations in the water. It will be easy for her to dye his water resistant pigskin gloves the same deep teal color. Another measuring string swiftly arrives to measure him up, although Clíodhna has to stop it from flirting with his net belt and get back to accurately measuring.

The admiral stops to observe Devin and Captain BenKii sparring. Captain BenKii notices her eyes following his and Devin's movements closely for a moment, then she nods briefly and walks up to the quarterdeck where Captain Aylar is engaged in a dual wielding training session with his cutlass and Fey axe. She perches on the forward railing and settles in with a small smile while she watches Aylar quietly.

[The admiral answers Grog'tial's question about magic items working in the Weirding Sea, and takes more measurements and colors to craft the requested spidersilk blend armor. She observes the sparring and watches Aylar train.]

Um, no. Not like that picture. If she did anything that poorly Devin would honestly laugh himself silly. The fabric would be suited to hang properly with balanced weight especially across the shoulders with the shoulder cape spidersilk blend being slightly more silky and tailored to not drag or catch on the cloak beneath. Double clasp upper front for easy fighting movement while keeping it from just flopping open or tangling the arms. She would suggest discrete arm slits under the shoulder cape (which is shown in your attachment) so you can also use it cape style with your arms out without always having to flip the cloak open. A standing collar around the neck which the hood would be seamed into the bottom of, so the neck would be protected even when the hood is down. See attached picture for proper fabric flow and cape length, the collar would be different and hood attached as stated above. Color to be darkest charcoal.

Okay, sure, that's why you're an expert :D I was just giving general idea (and it was about the only picture I found with both hood and shoulder cape :P).

Sorry. I don't know about expert, but I do tend to get specific about certain projects, and she'd insist on the best for the Crew in this. ;)

Tis true. Since she doesn't want me singing her rightful praise, I'll only say I've seen what she can do with her designs and garb for ren and live steel irl. Her character's crafting talent was taken from her rl hobby and given a magical twist in B's campaign, and most of what you see for medieval and period costuming online doesn't come close to what she does. Think Peter Jackson's LotR and you'll have a better clue.

I misread this completely. Thought this post was about good yohoho sites to pick up games that GOG falsely claimed to preserve (instead they removed the games from sale).
Cap'n Rummyfangs stalked quietly into the officer's mess deep into the early hours of the night and grinned as he saw Woodkett asleep. He bared his fangs and grinned, then quietly hacked up a spectral rumball and spit it straight into Woodkett's face! As the startled Woodkett jolted awake, Rummyfangs slashed the claws of one paw right across the Beckett double's face and then swiped his opposite claws across Woodkett's nose. With that Cap'n Rummyfangs flicked and raised his tail proudly as he strode off to resume his watch.

In his stolen Governor's mansion, Commodore Beckett howled in pain as he rolled from the bed face first onto the floor. He sputtered and crawled to grab a dagger on his bedside table, looking around with unbelieving eyes as he saw nobody in his room. He felt his face with one hand, but there was no blood. Earlier that evening he could have sworn he had run into a nasty thorn bush as first several sharp stabs and then outright bolts of pain drove him to knees and to his bed. He looked around again. Nobody was there. He had heard about voodoo but never believed in it. Could there be something to it after all? Furiously he stripped his bed. Still nothing. Cautiously Beckett laid down and placed his sheathed dagger under his pillow. He was still awake and jerking at the slightest noises an hour later.

GM Note: I've talked with Aylar to describe the range of the dartboard: "... standard setting would be him almost leaning on the frame about up to his waist, but if he's permitted to move around, he'd try to dodge to the side or run away from the frame to a point. Would make him a smaller target to hit, but unfortunately that would also mean he could get clipped in the leg or back or even bum." Now Crew can't tell him to turn his back or moon them, but Crew can state to standard position (as above), allow Dodge or restrict range by quarters (1/4 range, 1/2, 3/4, full). Captain Aylar will be working with Refyx on a suitable dart gun as a quiet and fair way for musket practice indoors. NO using such on other Crew or measures will be taken! Also, a fun contest for Crew is in the works soon (darts only), with prizes! :) Start practicing now.
After having rested from all the healing done with Aesmha, Gilius hums with joy as he grabs his blowdart and goes to practice it on the dartboard. "Maybe I can train to be a better shot than at the carver's house ! Come on, let's try to make Beckett dance a bit !"

Apart from that, he'll practie some swings with his cudgel.

Regarding the clothes, Gilius will choose to reinforce his green robe.
