I'm a console gamer/owner.

In an online shooter, I used to use a nickname that suggested I am a "friendly", meaning someone who joins the game but refuses to shoot at enemies or help my team to win, or even helping the enemies like healing them. Kind of pacifists I guess who refuse to fight, but I personally consider friendlies as trolls, who are there mainly just to annoy their teammates.

So, when I used a "friendly" nick but still kept shooting and killing enemies (which also helped me as many enemies would at first not shoot at me, thinking I am a friendly), I would receive confused messages like "Huh, I thought you are a friendly?". I'd usually answer with something like "Well, yeah, I am off-duty right now so I can freely kill anyone. I can kill anyone I want on my spare time."

Some enemies (and teammates) found it funny, others were angry at me and tried to kick me for "masquerading as a friendly". Well, phuck them, friendlies are idiots anyway, they shouldn't be in the game. Kick them instead. To me it is similar as if someone joined a football match but then refused to make goals or to try to prevent the other team from making goals, or even helped the other team to win. It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. They are the real trolls you should be kicked out of the game, not me. I am genuinely funny, they are just annoying.

If anything, I am merely counter-trolling.

Oh right I've probably mentioned these before, but some people join online shooters and then start spamming "ANYONE WANNA TRADE?!?". So they join the game only in order to trade ingame items with others; there are separate trade-servers they should join instead.

So I quite often reply to them "Yeah your mama wanted to trade when you were born!".

Also if there is someone who takes the game too seriously saying something like "I hate my life...", I try to be as compassionate as I can with something like "That's ok, I hate your life too...".

Then there are those foul-mouthed kids who shout things like "I F*CK YOUR MOTHER!" when they lose, to which I tend to reply with "Dad?".

Back in the Quake TeamFortress times I recall one match where someone was constantly whining another person (sniper) must be cheating because he was constantly getting headshots on him. Not sure if he was cheating, but I de-escalated their argument with "I dunno, maybe you just have an awfully big head so it is hard to miss?".

Back then also around Xmas time someone joined the game merrily with "Merry Christmas everyone!", I just felt it was appropriate to reply with "Yeah f*ck you too...".

Also the way Quake TeamFortress messages everyone of who killed who etc. was much more suitable for some cheap pranks, like once I named my player as "your mama", and everyone kept getting messages like ""your mama was killed by UltraNinja69" or "You were shot by your mama" etc. It doesn't work quite as well with TF2, unfortunately.

(Note: Using the phrase "your mother" in this context is not polite, so please don't do that.)

Levelville is a town in a leveled location. Its citizens are known by a leveled name. The town has a leveled number of NPCs, each with leveled names, stats, and equipment. The shops offer leveled items for sale, with each merchant having a leveled amount of gold to trade with. There is a leveled number of containers, each containing a leveled amount of leveled loot.

Near Levelville is a leveled amount of dungeons to explore, each containing leveled creatures and NPCs along with leveled loot.

Quests: The NPCs in Levelville offer a leveled amount of quests, each of which is leveled.

Note: The town's name isn't actually "Levelville", as its name, too, is leveled.

I don't think the point of trolling is to be polite. "Polite trolling", an interesting concept.

Remember: Video games are bad for you. You should go outside and play sports instead!
