If anything, patience is not in gamers dictionary and that gamers can moan about anything. I bet when there is a sale, someone can find something to complain about it. "My wislishted games is not on sale!" or "What a boring sale!".

While we wait, what do people celebrate here for end of year stuff?
I'm pretty normal, brought up with Christmas and New Years.
I've noticed since moving here that Japanese people celebrate Christmas as a mini holiday with friends, and New Years as a real one with family
It's always been Christmas with family and New Years with friends for me.

True. But it's not about a sale. It's THE SALE :)
Last year was a bit disappointing as far as I remember, but Winter Sales used to be full of really good offers and new, deep discounts. With dozens of small sales being all the same, it's obvious that we would like to get something different/better...
