Leh Dzebo

Leh walks up to the counter and throws all his money at the table "give me as much ale as this gets me" said Leh while pointing at the money pouch.

"I believe it's time to drink"

Noticing a few camels outside the inn Kamelion decides to talk to them. In the hope they
know something about Kemuel.Or something useful about the city.
Lucas

Lucas looked on at Leh in disbelief in what he just did. "Wow," was all that Lucas uttered.

Zaranak leaves the inn in order to move to the slums. That place might be useful for information extraction, either about the state of the city, or any new state-prisoners.
Exile

The Vasar trader looks you up and down. "You have not heard? How long have you been away from the desert, friend?

Endirum is besieged by a gang of thieves. They control all... they know all. They run the city with an iron grip, and trade is suffering dearly!

Lucas

Krashin gulped. "The battle of Northbrook, eh? We have just received word of the events down here. Quite something," he sighed, "quite... a mess. Who is this friend that you are looking for and why do you think you will find him here?"

______________________________________________________________________

Kamelion

One of the camels recalls seeing an army from Hammerhall returning from the north. They were just ahead of his caravan. He has never heard the name "Kemuel."

Leh Dzebo

Kreshin turns away from Lucas temporarily. "That much ale, huh? We're gonna be quick friends! Here's a few extra on the house! You sure that will be enough, now? Let me know if there's anything I can help you with."

Kreshin has lined up 15 mugs of ale on the bar. In moments, the Vasar traders have pounced on the mugs.

"Three cheers for.... THIS guy!" one of them shouts.

Zaranak

Zaranak patrols the slums of Hammerhall. Activity is limited. In front of him, an old woman is hanging clothes out to dry.

To his right, three beggars sit on the dirty ground in front of a ramshackle hut. One is whistling. A second points to Zaranak,

"Hey you," he says, burping, "any change to spare, good... uh... good sir?"
Lucas

Lucas takes a long swing of hot cider and spoonful before talking.

"Kemuel is his name; he is from the this area. We think he would've gone here after the battle."
Zaranak approaches the three beggars.

"I might... If you have information. Useful and good information." he says in a determined voice.
Jack waits until his comrades have ordered their drinks and settled in. He keeps quiet and looks around the room while drinking his ale. He keeps his eyes and ears open for any interesting bits of information that may be uttered out loud.

He wonders what Vassar women are like when the candles go out...

At The Inn

Suddenly, Lucas heard a loud commotion from the back of the bar. He turned around to see three human males. One held a piece of ceramic from a broken mug in his hand. He pointed it as Lucas.

"Kreshin," the man uttered in a guttural voice, "you didn't see this."

Kreshin nodded nervously, and looked sympathetically at Lucas. He picked up a mug from the bar and began wiping it. A Vasar man objected, "Hey, I wasn't even through with that ale!"

One of the attackers whacked Lucas on the head with a club. (OOC: Lucas has lost 10 HP.) The other two quickly began to drag him towards the back door.

With the exception of Zaranak (in the slums), everyone else is inside the inn, witnessing this scene. You are out of combat range, but can pursue the attackers as they run out of the back door.

(OOC: Kamelion has just entered the front doors and is the furthest from the back door ---about 100 feet. Jack is the closest (about 50 feet), Exile is about 60 feet away, Leh is about 60 feet away as well, surrounded by a group of onlookers who are applauding him for buying them all a round of ale.)

In the Slums

The beggars quickly rise to their feet and approach Zaranak.

"Say," the oldest one says, stroking a long gray beard, "a man with a purse is a good friend o'mine...."

Another beggar chimes in, "...and round here, we don't be earning anything but with these here," he says, pointing to his eyes. "We see lots o'things, you can bet. What you wanna know?"

Alrighty, if combat ensues, I will refrain from posting during the debacle, just so you can keep your mind focused on that ;)

Zaranak eyes the three beggars carefully, placing a hand subtly by his sword. "An army of Hammerhall left Northbrook a few days ago heading home. Have you heard of this? And if so, what have you heard?" he says, eyeing their movement.
Leh Dzebo

"Damnit" said Leh with clear disappointed voice. He quickly drinks the rest of the ale, pushes the onlookers aside and starts to run towards the attackers (athletics)

In the slums

The oldest beggar chuckled in the direction of Zaranak.

"Qunehali... hmm, always ready for a fight, eh? Now look at us, young man. We're unarmed."

"Yeah," another beggar interjected, "and even with a'bunch o'weapons, you could make mince out of all 3 of us in seconds!"

The third didn't find the talk so amusing. "Don't really need to be thinkin 'bout those types o'things since we got the information that this croc be lookin' for. So what'dya say, stranger? 5 gold each, we will tell you all we now... and trust me, we know a'bunch o'things! Sound like a deal?

At the inn

Leh Dzebo rolled a 5 - Athletics. He sprinted towards the back of the inn and met the assailants just outside the back door. Jack and the others weren't far behind.

The man with the piece of mug had dropped it and drawn his dagger. It was placed firmly to Lucas' neck.

Another said, "Now, listen, boys. I'd venture a guess that you know this man. If so, I tell ya, we're about to have a little party... and you all are invited."

"You come with us, no harm, no foul..." said the man holding the dagger, "no one has to die today. But you make one false movement and you're friend here... he's dead. So what do you say, you gonna cooperate or what? Our destination is a few short minutes away..."
The Vasar looked to his brothers "Too long have I strayed from the Desert." The Male looked up towards the commotion, "Brothers, will you aid me? Seems one of my companions have gotten himself in trouble."
Behind the Inn

A Vasar man has accompanied Exile out the door. Panting, he says, "You know we're simple merchants, not fighters, huh? But, let's see what's going on..."

The assailants are growing restless. "So what will it be, gents? Come on, we don't want to hurt your friend, here. We just wanna talk! Will you come with us or what?"
