Well, think of all the money I'll save on the food I won't be eating. And I can sell my bed too, and my car, and my shoes, and my...
Great news!
I really enjoyed Civ4, and Civ2 is one of my all time faves. I'll definitely be getting this.
I came.
Seriously, Civ4 has been the game with most replay value I've ever had. I still play a game or two regularly in my standard settings; large or huge map with epic speed. Takes a while to play but I like it. :)

Cambrey: And a couple turns later : oh shit ! It's already 4am. Bah, only 4 hours until I have to go to work, let's skip sleep.

i may get this game. If i can stop playing dominions 3.
or i would have to clone my self to play this and dominions 3.
From dominion 3 i have learn there can only be one!
or i will forget all about this game and just play one more turn in dominions 3.
[5 hours later]
man that was one fun turn. Waits its midnight all ready? what are we doing hear there paladins that should be killed and villagers to be burn!
Is it only me that's sceptical? I loved the first two Civilizations, didn't like the third because of its need for crazy fast expansion and the fourth was decent.
The reason I think the fourth was only decent is that sometimes more is not better. It had more of everything, more troops, more buildings and lots of other things. Took me forever to finish a turn.
Don't get me wrong. I like micromanagement but Civilization IV is on the border where it start to feel like work.
So yeah. It didn't give me that One more turn feeling. Sometimes I even lost the "Civilization feeling".

"*fake cough fake cough* I'm sorry i seem to have a really bad cold suddenly and I haven't slept all night.. Yes I should be back in tomorrow.... maybe the day after it depends on how fast the romans die I MEAN HOW SOON THIS DAMN COUGH GOES!!!!"
Btw now that I remembered this again. Who still remembers civanon.org made as commercial for civ4? And site is still up.
I want more screenshots!!
I'm thrilled about this news. How much could any one person say? Civ has become so historic that at some point there will be a Great Wonder called, "Civ Special Edition" and will undoubtedly bring your city culture and joy.

"I thought I was able to handle the power. I've always been a kind and gentle person. But when I was finally able to split the atom I built me a bomb, and dropped it on every mother f---- that got in my way!"
Hexes? Talk about pandering to the sad pathetic nerd crowd

I know, how DARE they change things and make them more complex and engaging, which the fans keep asking for! :O We should be ashamed!

Finally! As far as the hexes... why do I not see it as any significant change from the previous versions?
For me, 2 less directions is a bit of an issue. Never liked the idea of moving north in a zig zag pattern
