taczillabr: Trailer for Civ5 is out! Also in the official site.

Did anyone other than me think that this trailer was a bit too cheesy?
Meh, maybe I'm just getting old and jaded. At 30.
That trailer was absolutely worthless.
A bunch of cut scene footage that tells absolutely nothing about game play and the SHOCKING REVELATION that HISTORY might be involved in a Civ game! Holy shit, no way!
Ugh.

Of course it won't. It's an announcement trailer, not a preview of gameplay trailer.
You don't cram gameplay into the hungry mouths of loyal fans off the bat. You give them hints and images to build on. To build the hype and excitement for the game before revealing all the gory details.
Just like when they did Civilization Anonymous for Civ 4 when it was first announced.
Yeah, I was about to say that. Sorry guys but this is only the announcement trailer, of course you won't find a 10 minute video preview, full of gameplay, yet... It's just the announcement as stated on the youtube title.
But you can get a taste of the CG, that's possibly the quality of the in-game videos and wonder videos.
Okay, I'll give it one point...the CG cut scene stuff looked good and was well narrated.
Aside from THAT, worthless. :)
I'd quite like to see multiple voices for the new techs.
Having Nimoy was great, but it got on my nerves after about a dozen or so games.

Just as long as all the voicing is high quality. Having Jimmy from the mail room voicing some of the new Beyond the Sword techs makes me cringe every time I play.
Keith David and Tim Russ? Sold!

Nothing with Keith David is worthless. Goliath/Spawn's going to kick your butt for that! :O

I thought that was actually Sid Meier voicing those later added techs.

I was thinking of something along the lines of certain British Knights, or similar folks. Oh and Tom Baker and BRIAN BLESSED.
I hope, they will not dumb down the game like other devs did with DoW II ,E:TW, and SupCom 2.

I could certainly live with something like that.

I'm assuming that the voices you hear in the trailer are voices of world leaders. Tim Russ as Rameses for example.

I agree with DOW2 and SupCom2 but come on how is Empire:TW dumbed down?
