I already brought up teen pregnancies and unprotected sex, which I said were better described as irresponsible rather than deviant. I can also see a thing with a lack of emotional connection between partners where each party only sees the other as something to be used for gratification, but I'm not sure "deviance" is the word I'd use for that either.

I've always wondered about this. I mean, is Japan open to sex in the Dan Savage way that the West would think of the concept, or in some other fashion?

Speaking of "full frontal", tell me which is, in your opinion, more harmful? Showing full frontal sex or full gore+decapitations or tearing up limbs?

"a" game? I don't know how to tell you this, but if you look up "hentai games", you'll see that the Japanese have made a hell of a lot more than 1 game where the protagonist is raping girls.
And that's not even counting all the tentacle rape stuff, which is even sicker.

Actually "condoned" exists but means the same thing as "gets a pass". It's the opposite of condemned, which I think is what you meant.

As for the reason, I think it comes down to the fact that our morals are still based mostly on Christian values, and that according to Christianity sex is a sin unless it's done by married people for the purpose of procreation, while violence is okay as long as you're not hurting Christians (and even then it's mostly ignored).

I like how everyone keeps saying 'Christian values!' No, it's not Christian values. People came up with Christian values. In the end, it's just people being dicks as usual.

Quite many pull out the name Saints row 3. Has anyone even played the game? There was almost none sexual content, no tits without nude patch. And waving a dildo in your face.. Well you didn't really have to do that all the time. =)
No sex at all. It just was fun and greatly made game.

But sex in games.. Yeah it is mostly just stupid that in some cases we have all the gore and stuff but when you should have a romance. The climax is that you almost just get fade to black screen.

"Hell no, seems like nothing happened and now we are standing in the same place and position before we did the nasty and we always had clothes on, this sucks"

That kinda thing just mostly pisses people off. Me in this case.

But some hardcore porn in a normal game, there's no really need for that. Some tasteless and "man, that's dirty" scenes would do just fine. =D

Just ... Not .... Fahrenheit again, please no. I'll gladly play Indigo Prophecy (american version) instead, just because sex scenes were made as cinematics as opposed to those ridiculous minigames.

Well, of course it is. What I meant by "Christian values" was that people usually try to justify this particular bit of dickishness (dickhood, dickness? whatever works) by quoting the BIble and such stuff, rightly or wrongly.

I played it at some point and I did buy it again from here, didn't get far. Didn't remember that the controls suck so much. So I don't remember those scenes.

Also, if there is interactive sex scene, they should have a good controller support and vibration. =)
