I do like how Obsidian have made the Deathclaws far more dangerous in NV. The fact they have a high DT means most small arms will just tickle them.
Hi everybody,
I was just wondering first playthrough should be vanilla or with mods? And if i should use some mods which ones wont be in conflict with Hardcore mod?

TheCheese33: Is there Frank Sinatra music in the game?
Blue Moon

Needs more Sinatra though. Heck, more songs on the radio.

The game is fine as it is Vanillia. You could probably add a few practical utility mods, like the one that actually lets you *gasp* refill any empty water bottles you're carrying at a faucet. Would ease the H2O hoarding you need in hardcore mode a bit.
Hm, i'd say, get MTUI : http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34902
And check out the d3d9.dll mods, as the game has the dumbest card detection/specific GFX mode method ever invented.
If You're into Companions, You could try Unlimited Companions, though due to the bugs, they tend to get lost, and need to be called in using console commands.
And if You're interested in playing with Veronica, You should get the Veronica fixed, as she's bugged and doesn't level up.

That's what i'd recommend. I also use a filter that filters out the sepia based scheme of the game. I have clear blue skies etc, and it does not ruin the atmosphere, i think it makes it more earthly.

GameRager: Is the water mod for the regular game, the expansions, or both?
Expansions? Are we talking about the same game?
avatar
GameRager: The addons orwhatever you want to call them....I call them expansions. :)
New Vegas doesn't have any addons. Or expansions.

GameRager: I meant addons to fallout 3...as in is the water mod for fallout 3, the addons or both?
Geeze ,,, there isn't a water mod for Fallout 3. There doesn't need to be, the game doesn't have a hardcore mode that includes dehydration.
I'm gonna need some help finding a quest location.

The sexbot facility.

I'm trying to find it using the allmightly map markers but all the marker does is keep pointing me towards the upper door that zones between the two parts of Freeside. The marker on the world map isn't there though, just on the compass ... the world map marker is closer to the north gate, seemingly inside a nondescript building with no obvious entrances.

What am I looking for here?
I'm getting very tired of the crashes. I can reload, but it's just not right that a game should bomb out so frequently. Apart from that I like it.

There is one. IIRC it made the water normal after completing the main quest before they later removed the ending.

I'd try to explain but I'd either give too much or too little description. Don't need to watch the video past 1:14, just shows quest conclusions beyond that.

I had trouble finding that too, I'll try to explain it from memory. You should go to the part of Freeside(*) which has a large 1-story rectangled building alongside a railroad. To the left of that building there should be some houses, one of which is called "Ruined Store" which is involved in another quest. If you follow the path between these houses and the railroad building you should see some rubble in front of you and if you go a bit further a path through the rubble. After that, it should be easy to find.

* I don't remember which part of Freeside exactly, but if you enter through the East gate and follow the marker until you go through the house that zones to another part of Freeside you should be there.

Thanks to both, I found it. Didn't realize you could go up and beyond what looked like a pile of rubble there.

And ROFL does this quest take the cake. I'm playing a female character, and as soon as the bot popped out of the casing it was making offers towards dogging me.

When I excited the facility, I got jumped by three women in pink dresses armed with rolling pins, suitably named Malefic Maud, Rancorous Ruth, and Irate Ira.

What the hell. I'm guessing that was the zany perk acting up.

Wild Wasteland. It's the grannies from Monty Python :p

Also male or female, Fisto will tell you to assume the position.
