My girlfriend and I ignore Valentine's Day completely. Last time I tried to buy flowers on a whim for her on Valentine's Day, she freaked because she knew they were a rip-off.

We celebrate on 31st March instead, the day we got together.

Did it ever come to your mind that the fact that you had two girlfriends somehow factored into this? ;-P

Actually, being single is pretty much awesome. And as stupid as it might sound, don't go looking for a girlfriend. Enjoy you life until you stumble upon the one that doesn't let you go.
And never forger only because you are horny doesn't mean you love her.

Yea, the problem comes when you know someone who'd be perfect for you, but she doesn't feel the same. That's just horrible, especially on valentines day when everyone else advertises how happy they are in their relationships :(

I dislike all the Valentine ads as well. I've a subscription to some newsletters from companies I occasionaly use for buying things or sending my family birthday cards and St. Nicholas presents, but this month they spam me with mails about Valentine's cards and gifts.

The upside is, I am happy to be single. Since my last two relations, I decided I'm better off alone and am happy to be single and free of the stress of having to have another person integrate in my already much too stressful life (things might be different if I weren't handicapped).

This. It took me a year to realize it, now I suffer the consequences.

Single here in February for the first time in a while. The ex and I are talking again though, so who knows.

Anyway, the Valentines thing doesn't really bother me. Designed corporate holiday.

My wife is awesome and still sometimes sucks;)
Having a family made a "Ex gamer", from a gamer. Not to mention other disadvanteges;)

well... i am not single (sorry) but Valentine is fun if you take it easy. If you feel pressure to a) celebrate it when you are not single b)treating it as non-normal day when you are single then I believe you are doing something wrong.
