So, I tried connecting my laptop to a tv screen using a HDMI cable. In this manner Cossacks worked and some other games like Age of Wonders.

But Nox does not work, it seems like it does not work at fucking all.

Just a thought:

Are you able to install WINXP and make a dual boot (7 / XP)
I'm guessing it will work fine on XP (and probably all the others you're having trouble with)
Not sure if anyone has suggested it but the latest nVidia drivers leave old 90's games in the dust. I'm not sure how far you can go back with your card but visit Softpedia (nVidia seems to have dumped most of its old driver from its site recently) to try some drivers from around 2005 - They may not work but it's how I got Giants Citizen Kabuto and a couple of others to work.
