since noone fishid some game forums anymore, i use the general discussion, since that is mostly flooded with useless posts what get attention.

with realms of arkania does anyone know how i get farther in the dungeon in the starting town? I have done the quest that i had to kill those bandits but i come to a floor, wich where you got those treasure rooms wich are not looteble, there is a door wich the bandits never used i cant get open, i used magic and tried pick the lock but nothing works did anyone ever traveled below that area if yes how do i get trough that door?

I'm not sure why you think the game-specific forums are dead; if you post your question (and mention which specific game you're referring to) in the Arkania series subforum, you will likely have better luck getting an answer.

That's not quite true. For example, my post about King's Bounty bugs posted in KB forum didn't get any attention for over a week. Forwarding my topic to General forum made replies appearing.

My idea (already posted) is simple: introduce forum view where you can see all topics from the forums you have selected at the same time and interact with them just like they are on one common forum.

Example: you selected "General discussion", "Age of Wonders" and "Disciples series" as your favorite forums - while switching to my idea view you will see one "forum" with:

some General discussion topic
some General discussion topic
some General discussion topic
some General discussion topic
some General discussion topic
some Age of Wonders topic
some General discussion topic
some General discussion topic
some Disciples series topic
some General discussion topic
some General discussion topic
some General discussion topic
some Age of Wonders topic
some Disciples series topic
some General discussion topic
some General discussion topic
etc.

All in one view. When you reply to AoW topic it will be posted on AoW forum, when you reply to Disciples topic it will be posted on Disciples forum.

The problem is that they're too spread out. I have over a hundred games and unless I have something interesting to post in one of those subfora I generally don't even bother looking.

What we really need is a generic support subforum, especially since often times solutions apply to multiple games, but it also makes it a lot easier to get and give help.

you are right about that, Im a rpg fanatic so you can say i own most of the rpg games that i lost trac.

I can't help you with your problem, but I will say this - that which is beautiful, which entertains, which informs, which uplifts, or which challenges the intellect is not useless - everything I've seen on the forum falls into one of these categories. What you mean to say is that they are posts that don't interest you, which is quite alright, but not the same thing at all.

thats not true, only the populair games get that attention like arcanum, baldurs gate but less populair games dont have that i even once had something written in personal nightmare it never got answered and is forgotten,

hercufles: you are right about that, Im a rpg fanatic so you can say i own most of the rpg games that i lost trac.
I think having a handful of genre specific subfora wouldn't hurt either. Granted it wouldn't make much sense to split RTS and TBS into separate subfora, but going broadly enough I bet we could fit every type of game on gOg into at most 5 subfora.

Plenty of game forums get posted in but Realms of Arkania isn't exactly a popular game. I haven't played it myself so I can't help with the problem.

Sorry i dont mean it as an attack on you. But i gave up playing some games here since i cant find something about the game and try to put it in the forum and then let the post slowly die since noone reacts and then see 1000000 replies on the newest steam title.
