Don't you need a specific spell to magically open doors ? Like 'Foramen' ?

Namur, old friend, my world clock says it 12:03 AM in Portugal. Here you are answering gaming questions on the Gen Discussion forum. Do you ever sleep? . . . ; )

I think that spells and lockpicks don't always work the first time. Maybe try casting the spell a few more times ?
Maybe because nobody could answer your question. Simple as that. If i'm not mistaken RoA was shipped with game guide in pdf form. There are simple walkthrough there.

Not much these days, no, or so it seems, but work is the number one culprit. Europe is banging on our door asking for the money they were so kind to lend us, so our current Government has gotten very creative these days coming up with all sorts of new ways of making us work harder and longer hours for less coin ;)
I'll tell you one thing, hats off to the people who posted replies without flaming the OP. In many other fora I've frequented, he would have gotten a lot of flak for not posting the Realms of Arkania forum.

Well, let's see,

We do have alot of small fishing villages, except that due to the usual set of reasons, quotas, fleet takedowns, etc, there isn't a whole lot of actual fishing going on. The villages are still charming thouhg, so that's something

Tall ships in the harbor ? Usually, some, yes, right now the harbor authorities are on strike for some reason or another, so, nope, not really that many ships coming in or going out ;)

The VAT taxes went up for pretty much everything, including food, so right now skipping meals has become sort of a national past time. Luckily the VAT on wine stayed put, go figure, so yeah, getitng plastered to forget the piss poor state of the economy is still a somewhat finnancially viable option ;)

Care free living ? If you're a football player in line for a contract with a major team, foreign or domestic, yes, definitely ;)

I'm joking, kind of joking anyway. We do have probelms, right now they are certainly taking its toll, but mostly this is a great place to live. Your image of Portugal is more or less accurate, jut not adequate to the current set of conditions we're dealing with.

I hope to visit your country someday but . . . with much the same going on here, no work, crazy politics, inflation, crime . . . I think I will flee into the mountains, find a good cave and make my last stand . . . =)

Yeah, i know things haven't been exacly great for you guys over there either. I don't see myself as a pessimist but right now the worst part of it is not how bad things are, is that there are no real signs of improvement and meanwhile we have no real choice other than to pick up the tab of the continued mismanegements. Many things are surely different over there and over here but i'm guessing politicians are pretty much the same sorry lot everywhere.

These are strange times Stuff, strange enough to make that cave idea of yours sound really tempting at times, assuming our governemnts won't start charging rent on them caves. The way things are going, it wouldn't surprise me one bit ;)
I got a relatively quick answer to my Fallout 2 question recently, but that's a popular forum.

This thread has a lot of screen shots of that dungeon - might be a hint there somewhere. The fight with the bandits starts on the second page.

hedwards: The problem is that they're too spread out. I have over a hundred games and unless I have something interesting to post in one of those subfora I generally don't even bother looking.

What we really need is a generic support subforum, especially since often times solutions apply to multiple games, but it also makes it a lot easier to get and give help.
I concur !
