hedwards: I think having a handful of genre specific subfora wouldn't hurt either. Granted it wouldn't make much sense to split RTS and TBS into separate subfora, but going broadly enough I bet we could fit every type of game on gOg into at most 5 subfora.
If something like this happens I demand you have to insert game name, otherwise you will be unable to post your question.
Otherwise the thread will look like this:
"Can't open doors" - "Help I can't get doors at first dungeon open. I have tried everything but they just won't open. Is my version buggy or is it just crap?"
"This game is crap" - I bought this on sale and can't even get through first scene..."
"I love this game" - ....
"Help me!" - ....

And right you are.....

hedwards: The problem is that they're too spread out. I have over a hundred games and unless I have something interesting to post in one of those subfora I generally don't even bother looking.

What we really need is a generic support subforum, especially since often times solutions apply to multiple games, but it also makes it a lot easier to get and give help.

FiatLux: I concur !
Of course you do, the only people that don't are the ones that can actually do something about it. =-{ (
problem is realms of arkanisa is a unique game
Darn, I was hoping the game forums would be the way to go. I just posted a Gothic question about 2 or 3 hours ago and haven't received a reply. But seeing the flak I might get for posting here, perhaps I will just wait patiently... <whistles and walks away>

Mr. Gog generally does that, although it's taken longer the last year than it had early on. Typically it happens when a game is released and they don't want to tip their hat about the rest of the games in the series coming in the foreseeable future.
