The end of Day 4: The "Bang!—just like a candle!" votecount

ViolatorX - 4 - Vitek, nmillar, QuadrAlien, Orryyrro
Orryyrro - 1 - ViolatorX
nolynch - 1 - Rodzaju

ViolatorX has been lynched! It is now twilight and the lynch scene is in the works, as usual.
Interesting that, as soon as someone points to a solid theory against Orry, linking him to Violator, the day ends....
I'm now pretty convinced that Orry is scum.
If it was Vitek & millar, Orry has just nuked the town.

Safer to kill your scumbuddy & try to finesse through than incriminate yourself further?
"So about what you were saying yesterday," started nmillar.

"He made us say it," replied ViolatorX. "He was a bad rabbit."

"Us? And you honestly expect us to believe that?" Vitek looked at ViolatorX, clearly amused.

"Obviously, because it's the truth," stated ViolatorX.

"This is ridiculous," said Orryyrro. "Anyone wants to say anything else before I gut the liar?"

"I just hope we're not making a big mistake with this," said Rodzaju.

"Fine, then." And Orryrro drew the surprisingly sharp letter opener from fexen's corpse, lying still in the corner of the hall (and starting to smell rather badly), and moved closer to ViolatorX. "NOW!" he shouted.

Vitek and nmillar each grabbed one of ViolatorX's huge arms, while QuadrAlien caught both of his legs. Orryyrro moved even closer. ViolatorX was struggling to break free, but even his enormous muscles couldn't get him out of this. With one stroke, Orryyrro slashed ViolatorX's belly open with the letter opener. Everyone let go. ViolatorX made a few uncertain steps, blood freely flowing from the gaping wound like a red waterfall. Then he collapsed. And you let him lie there and bleed, until all life had flown out of him.

In his breast pocket, there was a picture of ViolatorX himself in a black frame, and "I miss you so much, little brother" written on the back. In another pocket, you found a stack of papers, covered with drawings that looked somewhat like comics. What could those be?

A picture of a crudely drawn and strangely proportioned stick figure strangling a man and throwing the corpse in the sea. A picture of the same stick figure apparently stealing something from a safe. Strange. And then finally, the third one: the stick figure pushing something egg-shaped over the edge of a wall. Then you knew: these were not comics at all. They were instructions!

ViolatorX has been lynched. He was Tweedledum or Tweedledee (Mafia Roleblocker).

It's going to be the weekend, so I'm extending the deadline for night actions somewhat to Monday 13 June, 7:00am GMT.

It didn't take long to notice that someone was missing again. Your numbers were thinning fast. This time, it was QuadrAlien who didn't make it.

Without saying anything, all of you rose and went straight to his room. You looked in. You saw a damp, smelly and cramped place, with mushrooms of many kinds growing from almost everywhere. But no QuadrAlien.

Knowing that you've got to be sure before you start another round of accusations, you searched the palace together, never quite letting anyone out of sight. It took a long time, but you did find him. Lying at the bottom of a staircase, his skull cracked open and his body badly bruised.

His pockets were stuffed with healing mushrooms, but there was no helping him any more.

QuadrAlien has been killed. He was the Caterpillar (Town Doctor).

It is Day 5. Sunset will occur on Monday, 20 June, 18:00 GMT, unless there is a lynch.

With 4 alive, it takes 3 to lynch.
My first and important question for today is to Rodzaju. Who did you investigate? What have you learned?
To the remaining Town players, I have something important to tell you:

Keep your temper.

Regards, QuadrAlien the Caterpillar.

P.S. Good luck.

Vitek: My first and important question for today is to Rodzaju. Who did you investigate? What have you learned?
I had planned to investigate Orry.
However, I had thought back to what you said happened to you when you announced your night action.
So I changed my mind & investigated Quad :(

So the score is currently 2-2.

I did get some interesting & perhaps useful info.
He was NOT in his room.
He had a load of bandages with name labels.
Those labelled Jess, Fexen, Robb, Taleroth, Typhoon, Violator & Twilight were all in a bin.
Those labelled Rodzaju, Orry & Nmillar were in a drawer.
I couldn’t find a Vitek bandage at all…..
Could this indicate he was protecting you last night?

I have yet to get a satisfactory explanation for your night 1.
You maintain that you did not attempt any action, but I am sure that there is something to you not being in your room.
However, If he was protecting you, Quad must have trusted you & he was my clearest town read (apart from me!)

So, at this point, as I pointed out at the end of the day yesterday, I’m pretty convinced Orry is the remaining scum.

Vote Orry

Aren't night actions set after the lynch scene? In other words after you knew the mafia roleblocker was dead?

It's also quite interesting how you chose to target the person who died and the description matches their job, and there is no way he can verify if that is indeed who he targeted.

Can you tell me what you had hoped to gain from voting nolynch yesterday? As I had stated I planned to vote Violator closer to the deadline once more information had been gathered, something which can only help the town, and then I did as I got a pretty clear scum-read for you. As you stated, if the others who were voting for Violator were mafia they had plenty of time to change votes.
vote Rodzaju
Well, logic dictates that Orryrro is indeed the last remaining mafia member. The night before last, Vitek appears to have been role blocked by ViolatorX, which would leave Orryrro or Rodzaju to carry out the kill. Nobody else has claimed to be role blocked, so this appears to be true.

Last night, it does indeed appear that QuadrAlien was protecting Vitek (missing bandages), and Rodzaju's investigations have been pretty accurate so far (even if he can't put two and two together :P), so I agree, Orryrro would appear to be the most likely suspect.

I'm going to hold-fire on adding my vote for the time-being; I don't want to give the mafia an easy opportunity to mis-lynch and end the game! I'll wait and see what other people have to say first.

There were 2 reasons for voting Nolynch.
First off, I had too many suspects & not enough info to narrow the list sufficiently.
By the time I had examined the game further, The Nolynch became kind of a trap.
As I explained, If Violator & Vitek or Violator & Nmillar were the mafia, They had the opportunity to jump on my Nolynch to save Violator.
They didn’t do that.

I actually did have an order in to investigate you, placed about 5 mins after night fell.
Then late last night I was thinking about it.
I remembered the result of Vitek announcing his action.
I remembered announcing that I would investigate either you or Violator.
I had a bit of a brainfart about the blocker being gone.
It was about 2 am.
2 of my kids have chickenpox & were up most of the night.
Perhaps not the best time to be making such decisions, but it was done.
Now I am more inclined to believe Rod is mafia, not Orryyrro. Last two nights when the reamining mafia member had to carry out to NK (as I was blocked by Violator) you "gained results" which are not provable.
Why the hell would you want to investigate Quadr over Orryyrro? You yourself stated you considered him most town of all.
How could the nolynch work as trap? How would they/we use it to save Violator? It would be only 3 votes for nolynch, not enough. You could stick with vote for me and try to convince someone to vote for me and you would at least get some info out of this.
It seems to me like backtracking.

Originally I voted Nolynch as there were too many suspects to safely lynch, as I have said several times. Originally I would have been quite happy with a Nolynch final vote.

Once I made the connection to the 2 pairs (somewhere between 520 & 539), it occurred to me that, if someone was looking to back away from the lynch, joining my nolynch stance would have been an easy way to do so. This would not have given a Nolynch result, but would have made the voter look awfully scummy.

At this point, I offer this as an ‘out’ to Vitek & Nmillar, whilst at the same time taunting Orry, to see who blinked first.
It was Orry that blinked.
At least that’s how I saw it at the time & nothing since has given me cause to change that view.

Regarding my investigations:
As the game goes on & the possible permutations shrink, I would expect the amount of successful investigations to also shrink. I AM still getting useful info (such as the indication that Quad was about & about last night, probably protecting you).
As I see it, NONE of my investigations can be independently verified. You seem quite happy with the info I produced on you, but only you & I know if this is true.
In fact, I made a guess about you, based on my info & you verified that this guess was correct.
I STILL don’t KNOW that it is correct.

Yes, because I verified it so I am happy with this. I don't doubt you have flavour cop ability, I dopubt what side you belong to and whether your really investigated someone last two days.
If you are mafia, on nights 1 and 2 you were free to investigate as you had companions make a kill. Nights 3 and 4 you had to make kills yourself so you had to make up investigations based on dead players role.

Look at the victims:
Cop, Tracker & Doc.
If you think it unlikely that I would be unlucky enough to investigate dead guys twice out of 4, how likely is it that mafia would randomly pick 3 kills & get the 2 most powerful town roles?

Bearing in mind the calibre of dead players, I think it is more likely that the remaining mafia is role cop or something similar.

I would guess that they identified Jess night 1, so she dies night 2.
Night 3 they identify Quad, so he dies night 4.

But back to me:
If I was paranoid, I’d smell a rat.
Night 3 I think was pure bad luck.
Last night, I’m not so sure.
There were only 2 players still alive that I had not investigated.

IF Orry is the scum & he wanted to set me up, he would kill the guy I’m going to investigate, to set up just the theory you’re presenting.

He obviously wouldn’t kill himself.
So he goes for Quad; He’s got a 50/50 chance of framing me.

Why would I, or anyone else for that matter, suspect you would investigate the person you were sure was town?

The answer is they wouldn't. If you're not scum, I don't know who is.
