Elmofongo: To any DC comic fans, Hardcore or Casual, Me and my bro recently made an account DC Entertainment.com to buy the Injustice Gods Among Us comics, so I have nearly a century worth of comic books to purchase of my choosing.

So I like to ask which books do you recommend such as:

Best Superman

Best Batman

Best Justice League

Best Original

etc.

Got any good recommendations?
My absolute favorite Batman story was Knightfall (Bane back-breaking somewhere in the middle, Azrael taking on the mantle). I also really liked the series where Bruce goes to prison.

Just a quick question:

What is the difference betweem Action Comics and the simply entitled Superman comics? Same goes for Batman and Detective Comics.

What are the differences?

OmegaX: Post New 52 made Action Comics about earlier Superman stories from when he moved to Metropolis. Plain Superman are current stories which should be in line with events in other comics.
The Batman, Detective Comics, Batman and Robin, and Batman the Dark Knight are just different titles focusing on different kind of stories. It's just a way to have more than one Batman title being written by different writers at the same time. Sometimes they could reference events from the other titles but most of the time they just do their own thing.
OK so whats the difference between Batman, Batman: The Dark Knight, and Detective comics?

I assume Batman and Detective comics are the samething the Action comics and Superman?

I'm not reading all the Batman series so I don't know. I know that Detective comics is supposed to focus more on mysterious crimes in which Batman showcases his detective skills but that can change depending on what the writer wants to do. I think you are supposed to choose whatever title you want if you happen to like the particular writer/artist behind that title at the time. Batman is the main title so that's always the most popular and that's the one I'm reading right now.
Bump

Can I ask whats anyone's opinion on DC's New 52 relaunch, I already have the first 6 issues of Justice League which contain the Origin story arc and I thought it was OK.

But I understand that the relaunch was really mixed with some people hating it and others liking it. But has this relaunch improved since 2011? Has there been any quality stories in the New 52 been made as of now?
If you like the B-man, then check out the recommended reading list in the sidebar of /r/Batman: http://www.reddit.com/r/batman
I'd recommend Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" series.
