A perfect mix of tower defense and RPG, now both in fantasy and Sci-Fi flavor!

Defender's Quest, an addictive mixture of tower defense and RPG set in a world shattered by mysterious disease, is available 83% off, on GOG.com. That's only $2.49 for the next 24 hours!

Did you ever want to have special psychic powers that would let you toy with souls of living human beings and bind them to your will? Please don't answer. Azra, the Royal Librarian, never asked for such a thing. In fact, she never asked for any of the ordeals that fate put her through. But--willing or not--she's become a hero and the future of her homeland depends solely on her. All because of her suddenly discovered ability to turn her companions into etheric specters and command them like pawns around a battlefield existing outside space and time. Wanna hear a secret? She's starting to enjoy it.

Defender's Quest does many things that many games fail to do. First of all, it's a tower defense game that never gets boring. That's mostly achieved by mixing in many RPG elements. That leads us to another thing that this game gets right--mixing genres. Nine times out of ten combining so very different gaming philosophies will backfire. Here, we've got the lucky number ten, that managed to hit the sweet spot and emerge as a perfect and seamless combination. The gameplay here is just as much enjoyable and intuitive, as it is fresh. The brilliant, unforced humor serves as the cherry on top. You'll be enjoying this game for hours. Be warned, though--it's quite addictive! The game comes with a full MP3 soundtrack and an official mod turning the original fantasy campaign into campy Sci-Fi flick.

Answer the mysterious call, grasp the mystical power, and face the ominous force that plagues the Valley of the Forgotten. Are you prepared for hours of enthralling gameplay? Get your copy of Defender's Quest, for only $2.49 until Thursday, February 20, 10:59AM GMT.

UPDATE: There's a lenghty browser-based demo of the game RIGHT HERE (with the option to export your progress into the full version).

This game is pretty nice albeit somewhat easy unless you set your own more difficult goals (e.g. don't play the same level twice to gain more gold and XP). Perfectly suited for couch play, you can pause the game anytime you like and issue your oders.

I'm not a big fan of tower defenses, but Defender's Quest is a clear exception to that - it's a very solid game, and I recommend everyone to at least try the demo (and then buy the game - $2.50 is a steal for this title).
Best Tower Defense game i have played. This and Gemcraft series in the browser.
Borderline diabolical move having a good-sized demo to try out right on the promo page, GOG. As if my wishlist wasn't large enough to choke an army of elephants to begin with.
What a discount nice going guys but the game is not for me.
Nice promo, but i already have Defender's Quest. Once again my wallet is safe! :D
Awesome game, nice promo.

edit: still need 2 gold stars in new game+ :D

Already have the game on Steam and preordered the sequel

I'd just like to say that this is an insanely good deal

I liked this game and can recommend it, but it's too easy and rather short.
Love the game and still play it during nightshifts. Can be recommended even to people who normally don't like tower defense games.

And if you already own it and love it as much as I do, you can preorder Defender's Quest 2 here.
I was gited this game by Lou. It is a very nice tower defense game.

Thanks Lou again!
I really enjoyed this game. I'll probably buy a new copy of it to give away, but I'll hold it until I hit the hostel tomorrow without incident.
I really enjoyed this game, that's probably one of the recent games I played the most
If you don't have it already at this price it's a steal!
Without checking, I find myself with no idea whether I've already got this on Steam through picking it up in a bundle at some point or not - does anyone else get that?

Nice promo with a huge discount though, GOG!
