Limbo came out today on Steam.

I have played a small bit of it between chores and I already love it. For being a little 2D platformer it has to be one of the most immersive games ever. When my girl starting chatting with me on Steam I had to quit because it just ruined it.

Reminds me of Prince of Persia.

its not that long, but the atmosphere is superb, i got it on XBLA when it came out on there, i'd definitely recommend it

Limbo is amazing. It's like being in a nightmare, but in a good way. I got high when I played it for the first time, and it was one of the most immersive gaming experiences I've ever had. The confrontation with the spider simply freaked me out beyond belief. The second half of the game is not quite as good, unfortunately, but it's still great.

Guess I'm gonna have to check out the demo.

Great! Can't wait to finally try it out.

Maybe if there is a Steam-less release.

I prefer my platformers on console, but it'll probably wind up cheaper on Steam...

So am I insane or is this game insanely overrated?

Thinking about buying it. Didn't enjoy Braid really and this is the same "artsy platformer" genre.

It's more a platformer than Braid was. Braid was a puzzle game really.

How dare you!? Braid is one of the best games ever made! :'(

Does Limbo have any interesting gameplay features?

Limbo is all about the atmosphere. I'd say it's the closest thing the PC has to Ico. That is, if you replaced Yorda with a multitude of ways to wind up dead.

Limbo is a fantastic game and I would recommend to anybody who enjoys platformer/puzzle games. The atmosphere created in the game is wonderful. This game is a piece of art.

I played the demo and have the same reservations about Limbo as I'm not a fan of Braid either (good game, but a bit bloated in its 'artsyness').

I really like a good platformer, but not sure if I like the particular kind of platformer that is veering towards being a puzzle game also.
