Runs over to the door and opens it up.

“Damn man you got to be crazy to take a shower here”

OOC: Um you aren't next to that door. You are in the little hall next to(east of) the two showers room shower areas(showers 1 and showers 2)....between you and the outer shower room entrance door is another 2 doors, one between the little hall you are in and the changing area/locker room, and another between the locker room/changing area and the showers room entry area(The little room in the NW of the showers room).

And you can't even HEAR tanner's cries yet from where you are. For all you know no one has asked any of you to do anything.

You can however go into the changing room/locker room section of the showers room from where you are and explore that, or into one of the two showers areas (shwrs 1 or shwrs 2) & look around/etc, or back into the Bunkroom through the shaft in the baths sections of the showers room, .....etc.

OOC: Map below.....red x is where the three of you(Staines, Bundy, Coleman) are right now. Tanner is outside the door leading to/from the showers room entry area(That little area in the NW of showers room with desk), 3 room sections away from your current location.

You look around the hall you're in while trying to decide what to do next. To the west are two doors leading into the two showers room shower sections(showers 1 and showers 2), and to the north is the door which leads into the changing room and from there to the entry room. The door to showers 1 is partially open, while the door to showers 2 is closed. The door to the changing area of the showers room(to your north) is also closed.


OOC: Basically you have the showers room, which is divided into various smaller rooms as shown on the map.....showers 1 and showers 2, baths area(which you guys were in earlier), small hallway(where you are now), changing area/lockers area(to your north past a door), and entry area(past the lockers and changing area).

As always if you need clarification on something lemme know.

Well then I'm just going to open the door for shower room 2 and take a look barnell tells Coleman.

Motioning to Coleman to watch your back, you prepare to open the door to showers room 2......nervousness giving way to curiosity, you try the door, but it won't budge.

"Door appears stuck fellas. Mind giving me a hand?" you ask, to which Staines tosses you his crowbar "I want that back when you're done, you know." he says as he sits back against the wall for the moment.

Using the crowbar and some elbow grease, you manage to pry the door unstuck. After tossing the crowbar back to Staines you grab the handle and push the door open, the sudden smell of moisture and the faint smell of death fill your nostrils. "Gah, what is that smell?!? Haven't we had to suffer enough putrid smells over the past few days?" you exclaim as you look around the room(showers room 2). Just within the door you spot the 3 shower cubicles. In the first two the water appears turned off and the curtains are open....the third, however, is closed partially and the sounds of running water come from within. As you approach the last cubicle(in showers room 2) you see a faint outline of what appears to be a person hiding within the cubicle.

"C'mon out of there whoever you are or i'll fill you full of lead." you state as you prepare to grab the curtain, ready to pull it back if the figure within makes any sudden moves. Nothing stirs within....the figure stays immobile.....so you yank back the curtain while keeping your gun at the ready. As if your eyes hadn't seen enough blood and gore over the past few days.......inside the cubicle in showers room 2 is the dead body of another orderly by the name of Thomas Riley......his body hanging from a ligature made from bath towels which has been tied on one end to the shower head.

His eyes stare at you mockingly as if taunting you and the others who now share your fate, and you only barely glimpse at the rest of his body for any signs of anything out of the ordinary before rushing back into the small showers room hallway. In his hand you spotted a torn piece of paper, and a small rectangular bulge fills his coat pocket.

What do you do next?

First scratch my nuts they been itchy all day, second read the piece of paper and third see what the small rectangular bulge fills his coat pocket and hope he wasn’t just happy to see me.

"This keeps getting worse and worse." Staines remarks as you run back into the small hallway and tell him what you found. "Still whatever is on him could be useful. Be a good lad and go check him out while we cover your back." He adds, watching the doorway(leading into showers area 2) and motioning to Coleman to do the same.

"Well this isn't fair.....how come I have to do all the work while you guys sit back all nice and pretty?" You ask, looking with consternation at the others next to you.

"Because you is expendable crazy.....and I am tired from duct crawling." Coleman says in a hushed tone as Staines looks at him as if to say "Hey, enough of that nasty talk." before Coleman looks back at him as if to say "You're one to talk....sitting back and relaxing while complaining about me doing it as well."

Sighing deeply, you turn and head back into the showers area........grabbing for the note, you pry at the man's clench fist, being careful to remove the note as gently as possible given that it has been partially soaked with water. Also searching his pockets you find a plastic card with a magnetic strip labelled "Solitary - Master Key", which you pocket before heading back out of the room and shutting the door.

"So what's it say?" Staines asks, nodding towards the note in your hand. Opening the note so as to not tear it further, you note that someone has scrawled a hasty message on it in black ink.

"I can't take it anymore. The screams coming from the solitary cells was bad enough along with knowing about all the illegal meds the docs were giving those poor blokes.......but this last order was too much. I know I was forced to do it...to put them in the tubs and restrain them as the doctor poured those things on top of them.......but I could've tried to stop him......to object. I didn't though, and it's because of me that they're dead now. With what i've done I cannot fathom going on, and I couldn't even if I wanted to....what with that THING in the entry area(to the shower room) and the vent securely sealed. I have no choice.....I will NOT let myself fall prey to those things......I WON'T...........I am so sorry for whatever pain I have caused the patients here by my actions. May god have mercy on my soul.........."

"What....the.....fuk?" You say as you read the note aloud. "The doctor made him do it? Did he mean OUR doctor......or one of the others? Why would they do this to us?"

"I don't know. I DO know that we can't let this get the better of us.......we have to go on, regardless of what we face in the times to come, if we want to survive." Staines says before getting back up and looking around.

Getting up you head into the changing area, opening the door cautiously as you hold your crowbar tightly...yes your crowbar. It was Nickel's but no longer.....it is now as much a part of you as you are of it now, or so it seems. Within the light is off, but you can clearly see benches along the walls where you and your fellow bunkmates changed before and after taking baths all those times before. The rest of the room seems empty(and thus safe) in the dim light shining in from the small showers room hallway.

The switch is on the wall between the changing room and locker room, and it beckons you to turn it on.

Well I do have an alternative light source, but I would rather save that for now....
Turn on the lights

You flick on the lights and sigh with relief as the clinical glow of flourescent light fills the two rooms. Your gauging of the changing area's safety level seems correct now. Nothing is to be found beyond some empty benches and tile floors. In the adjoining lockers area site several lockers, which you approach with gusto. These seem to be unlocked, so you search through them one by one.....sadly they are all empty....being used mainly to hold one's clothes or personal items during a shower or bath. As you go about your search you hear something......a slight chittering sound off in the corner of your senses. Could it be???

You also hear a sound coming from the nearby showers room entry area, beyond a closed door. The sound seems to be someone tapping on the showers room door. "Hmm, I wonder what that's all about?" you think as you examine the door leading into the showers room entry area.

"Guys, finish up your searches so we can get out of here asap. I have a bad feeling for some reason." you yell back to the others in the nearby showers room hallway.

OOC: I hope you know where you are and get all the rooms within rooms stuff I have been writing about so far. It may seem a bit confusing and I hope it's clear enough for you and everyone else. You are currently in the lockers area of the showers room as per the map.....to the west is the door leading in to the showers room entry area, and to the SE is the door back into the showers room hallway. The sound Tanner is making is one room away.

"Uh, guys, I REALLY think we should leave the way we entered.
And I think we're on the clock here...."

"Oh, and Coleman, I want my torch back!"

OOC: Do you enter the showers room entry area to explore it?

Oh wait nvm.....mwhahahaha....


You start to head back to the baths section of the showers room and the vent within when all of a sudden you hear it again. The chittering sound is back, and louder this time. Following the sound you rush back into the baths area and see that the fires have died down, but now there is an even worse problem. Spider like creatures have broken a hole in the ceiling of this section of the showers room(right above where the baths are right now), and have latched onto the burnt remains.........they appear to either be eating them or mating with them, or both. It's hard to tell. As they see you, however, they turn around, facing you as they start to shriek a shrill shriek.

"Of course, it had to be more of them spiders. Nuts to this." you say before slamming the door shut and telling everyone else to evacuate toward the showers room entry area. As you do so you notice the creatures have latched onto the spines of the corpses in the tubs, and to your horror they start to RISE in a twisted semblance of life.

"Shit, everyone NEW PLAN.......head for the showers room entry area. We gotta get outta here and seal the door behind us before those things get us but good." you add while motioning for the others to join you as you run back into the changing area of the showers room, closing the door behind everyone as they enter. Grabbing a nearby bench, you prop it up against the door, hoping those things aren't strong enough to get past it.

OOC: You three are now in the showers room locker room/changing area. The door to the showers room entry area is to your west, and a barricaded door lies to your south leading back towards the shower cubicle areas and baths area of the shower room.

Damn thing just keep getting stranger here. We need to get out and get some protection.
