Sigh, I don't have privacy here, but I really hope that when I'm ready to repatriate that there will still be some privacy left.
So far I'm finding that it's not as bad as I would have thought, but I'm also very aware that I have to be very mindful about what I do so as not to go about ruining lives.

The comments on that news article make my head hurt so very much. I particularly love the "every Democrat is a lower-class moocher" posts.

@hedwards
My friend you are safer over there.
They are trying force feed us not 1 but 8 new "cybercrime" bills. Front page of the only big newspaper in Hawaii. And all people could talk about was Madonna's half-time set. Only 4% of the population fought the british in 1776 and as history repeats itself only 4% of the population will fight the 2nd American Revolution.
Hedwards I'm not being dramatc when I say this to you. Don't come back to the US anytime soon. It's not safe anymore. The Constitution is in tatters.

After reading three lines into the article I'm done with it. Even if there is some truth to it, it is buried in some partisan BS I don't have the time for.

There is no partisan SimonG. The Republicans and Democrats are equally complicit in this corruption. They with their world bank lobbyists destroyed the ideas of truth, liberty, justice and the pursuit (not the guarantee of) of happiness in America. That is unforgivable.

i find it absolutely unbelievable that the topic of living in the US and not wanting to pay taxes comes up so often! i guess those people don't drive on public streets and highways, don't want running water and electricity, public transport and service, law enforcement and fire departments, etc.Just found this on Reuters

We don't need the FED in our lives. America was self sufficient before that abomination was created.

It's the old "Sovereign Citizen" scam. It doesn't work in court but people run around gathering converts to the idea like it's a cult about to put on some sneakers and eat pudding. You can look up more about it if you google that term, I warn you though, it'll probably make you sad.Fred_DM

yeah, i've come across this several times over the years. i'm wondering though, have any of the proponents of the "sovereign citizen" ever proposed how public infrastructure and services are to be financed without taxes?
