Sigh, I don't have privacy here, but I really hope that when I'm ready to repatriate that there will still be some privacy left.

So far I'm finding that it's not as bad as I would have thought, but I'm also very aware that I have to be very mindful about what I do so as not to go about ruining lives.
The comments on that news article make my head hurt so very much. I particularly love the "every Democrat is a lower-class moocher" posts.
@hedwards

My friend you are safer over there.

They are trying force feed us not 1 but 8 new "cybercrime" bills. Front page of the only big newspaper in Hawaii. And all people could talk about was Madonna's half-time set. Only 4% of the population fought the british in 1776 and as history repeats itself only 4% of the population will fight the 2nd American Revolution.

Hedwards I'm not being dramatc when I say this to you. Don't come back to the US anytime soon. It's not safe anymore. The Constitution is in tatters.

After reading three lines into the article I'm done with it. Even if there is some truth to it, it is buried in some partisan BS I don't have the time for.
There is no partisan SimonG. The Republicans and Democrats are equally complicit in this corruption. They with their world bank lobbyists destroyed the ideas of truth, liberty, justice and the pursuit (not the guarantee of) of happiness in America. That is unforgivable.

Just found this on Reuters

And another war for the profiteers

i find it absolutely unbelievable that the topic of living in the US and not wanting to pay taxes comes up so often! i guess those people don't drive on public streets and highways, don't want running water and electricity, public transport and service, law enforcement and fire departments, etc.

@Fred_DM

We don't need the FED in our lives. America was self sufficient before that abomination was created.

I'm going to bed, goodnight

It's the old "Sovereign Citizen" scam. It doesn't work in court but people run around gathering converts to the idea like it's a cult about to put on some sneakers and eat pudding. You can look up more about it if you google that term, I warn you though, it'll probably make you sad.

yeah, i've come across this several times over the years. i'm wondering though, have any of the proponents of the "sovereign citizen" ever proposed how public infrastructure and services are to be financed without taxes?
They usually don't think that far in advance to worry about it.

I think the few who really think it through expect private industry to come around and do the work. Except, then there would probably be tolls and stuff, that would cost more than the taxes in the first place, since the private industry would be out to make a buck.

Implying that you have to be owned by goverment to get electricity plugged into your home - funny shit.

Socialists on this forums always amuse me.

LOL. That accounts for like 3% of our tax burden. I guess I would take the 3% and let's give the 97% back to the people that actually deserve it, not the friends and allies of the President or Congress or worthless bureaucrats or bombs.
