Optimaximal: This is the only instance I can remember (correct me if I'm blatantly/likely wrong) where prices have been lowered.

Beyond Divinity was dropped to $5.99 a few weeks ago, maybe other but I can't name any at the moment.

Optimaximal: On a related note, how often do GOG.com review their prices. This is the only instance I can remember (correct me if I'm blatantly/likely wrong) where prices have been lowered.

Arx Fatalis, Beyond Divinity and Panzer Elite Special Edition

There's been a few instances of price drops, Beyond Divinity was once $9.99 until around May this year. Original War when it was re-released after some licensing issues became resolved was cheaper too I think.
Nice, GOG undercuts the Steam price!
Except the Steam "Oddworld Pack" deal is still a better price, though not a better value, since it doesn't include all the extras GOG has.

bazilisek: Could this indicate that the long-awaited PC ports of the other Oddworld games could end up here, too?

Yeah I was thinking that too, could it also mean that the ports are nearing completion as well?
Good. Now the only thing that GoG need to be even with the Oddworld serie on steam is to add multilanguage support which I don't understand the lack of. Steam has the game downloadable in at least 5 languages.

Last time I checked, they were scheduled for autumn this year. Fingers crossed.
Ah, but I DO have an excuse: The Oddbox!
Is this game similar to Another World/Flashback?

That's probably what it's closest to, yes. The style is way different, but the gameplay is roughly similar in that you first have to figure out what it is you are supposed to do and then execute it, which is, more often than not, quite tricky.
You play a normal guy, without a gun, who can a) talk to his fellow workers, to do something for him and eventually get saved by our hero and b) possess other living beings (only one type in the first game, more in the sequel) and force them to do whatever he wants to. And like in AW, there is no life bar -- one shot and you're dead. And it is quite difficult, though less than AW, I'd say.

Ok, thanks - another 2 GOG titles to my MUST HAVE list. But no rush - let us not forget 2nd anniversary is coming :-)
True classics and at a good price! Thanks GOG.

there are no unofficial italian translation of the games ?
Once again, crap deals compared to what's frequently available on Steam, I got both games from there for like 3$. Sorry.
