There’s a million aliens out there thirsting for your blood; can you slaughter your way to the exit?

These classic top-down shooters have you killing enough aliens to make Sigourney Weaver blush, and this two pack of [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/alien_breed_tower_assault]Alien Breed and Alien Breed: Tower Assault is available for only $5.99.

Alien Breed is a classic run-and-shoot action game that has you fighting a variety of bulbous-headed aliens with an insatiable hunger for your flesh. In a distant future, you control one brave space ranger or (with a friend) two fearless cosmic marines who blast their way through maze-like levels crawling with hideous space monstrosities to find the lift down to the next level and--hopefully--to escape the doomed space station that you’re on. Clearing the space station completely will require killing hundreds of nasty aliens, buying new weapons, medkits, ammo, and finally blowing everything up. For us at GOG.com, just a regular day.

Alien Breed: Tower Assault follows a similar alien slaying scenario as the first game in the series. However, it is much less linear than its predecessor and offers 276 possible ways of completing the game (yes, we checked).

If you wished in 2012 for an alien-infested space stations and soldiers on a suicide missions, well, you’re a little crazy. But if you wished for a fantastic game about alien-infested space stations, GOG.com makes your dreams come true with a powerful double combo from Team 17: Alien Breed and Alien Breed: Tower Assault for only $5.99.

TomNook: Hopefully Tower Assault includes the hilariously bad FMV.
It is included in all its cheesy awesomeness.
Remember friends who had an amiga raving about this. Will get at some point but skint right now.
Hmm, it's a bit odd to have the first and the third game in the series in a pack. Alien Breed being the first, obviously, and Tower Assault being Alien Breed 3 (but without the number). Where's Alien Breed 2 - The Horror Continues?

Team17 are Amiga fans. AB2 never made it to DOS. Thankfully neither did AB 3D.

Hey, AB3D was pretty great!

Anyway, this will hopefully help with how horrible AB was to get to run under DOS.
It had been so long since a new release on here, I almost forgot how they looked. :)
Luckily we have a 2-for-1 today. Unfortunately, Alien Breed has to go on the wishlist while the wallet continues to resuscitate from the winter sale..
Wishlisted till payday.
5 days & counting....

Wish'd!
I loved the atmosphere of the AB games, even though whenever i got back to play them i had the Abuse Syndrome. :>
For me Tower Assault was the best in the series.
Alien Breed 3D was actually bloody great, the atmosphere in those were incredible. And I seem to remember there were some technical stuff with them that Doom didn't do, but I can't remember what. It's a shame they never made it to the PC, the sequel in particular could use with more power (I don't think even the fastest Amigas could run that maxed out in full screen with a decent framerate).

Anyway, on the other Team 17 games, I think the PC was starting to get pretty good in the sound departement around that time, so there shouldn't be much of a downgrade the Amiga in that area. But I may be wrong.
OH MY [expletive] [expletive] INSTAFRI[expletive] BUY

(Mind you, the pc version will NOT have Allister Brimble's BRILLIANT bp-mon title track, but that's ok, I can play that in UADE or on my phone with Modizer. Which I will do. RIGHT NOW. While I purchase this BRILLIANT game that I love so very very much. Ok I prefer the obviously superior Amiga version but I don't care I will be buying this.)

nijuu: This IMHO isnt a Good Old Game :/
The first one is a GOG - but the PC version is utter shite.
I like new AB 3D, but the predecessor looks awesome! Thank you, GOG! :)

That would probably be fully 3D levels, with overlapping floors, rather than just stairs and blocky lifts. And being far more optimized, but that's another story.
Alien Breed 3D was ok, revisited it recently too. Technical good, starts well; but then deteriorates. By the end of the game I felt it was average. DOOM and it's sequel were easily better + had an excellent mod community, editors etc... Doom is a classic, Alien Breed 3D is not. Just my opinion.
