With another release from the new wave of Atari titles hitting GOG.com's catalogue, we're answering another question - what game made you feel like a hero? It's Demon Stone.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/forgotten_realms_demon_stone]Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone is an action RPG set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms. Players take control of a party of heroic characters which include a fighter, a sorcerer and a rogue. Each of the characters have their own set of skills and require a different approach to the gameplay. The really cool feature of the game is that you can switch between your heroes anytime you need to fully take advantage of their abilities and perform deadly team attacks. Hack-and-slash gameplay and nice looking graphics are accompanied by enthralling story by R.A. Salvatore, great soundtrack and top notch voice acting. Action-RPG fans get another gem to their precious collection.
I'll get it eventually. I like beat 'em ups, have a gamepad, and can often appreciate games that many are too picky to find good in. Perhaps it will be on sale by that time.
Is this one better than LOTR: Return of the King? If yes, then I might try it out.
Another one I own. I got it dirt cheap ages ago in a three pack with some Magic the Gathering game I haven't played and Temple of Elemental Evil.

Pretty mediocre game, all in all. Fun, but not much of a replay value.
I have this game (in the original box) . I've tried to play it quite a few times, but never really could get into it enough to finish it. If I remember correctly (it's been a while since the last time I've tried to play it), one of the main reasons I gave up on it were the controls. I wasn't using a gaming pad, and trying to repeatedly pull off the different combos using the keyboard just got too tedious.
It really does appear to be a good game. The graphics aren't that bad, and the atmosphere is pretty cool, but I just couldn't get past the controls issue to enjoy it enough.
I also agree that this game should be listed for 5.99 (and that way it might eventually go on sale for 3.99 or so).
I'll probably add this to my wish list, and see if it doesn't go on some special sale in the future.
Am I the only one who really liked this game? I wouldn't pay $9.99 considering I got it in a D&D box set, but $6.99 on GOG would be a bit more reasonable. It's not a very long game, but I played it through fully enjoying it.

Donald_Trump: Trolls, you say? I've been getting into this "fantasy" thing you youngins are always yapping about, and my elven sorceress would love to fight some trolls.
But only if they can prove being real trolls by showing birth certificates?
Demon Stone is still available for purchase, if you want a boxed copy. A mere 6 euros from Play and it's yours.

First Dragonshard and now this. Very disappointing.
Wishlisted.
Hi, I'm R.A.Salvatore, watch me shoe-horn in my iconic character Drizzt into this story.

Yeah, no thanks... I'll pass after having played this on my old Xbox back in the day. It was an okay hack-n-slaher, but nothing overly exciting.

lackoo1111: Metascore again :

why " players" don't like a game

game sucks because of it's graphics ( " shiny graphics " syndrome , DX11 maniacs )
game sucks because of its control system ( can't play with gamepad , controller )
game sucks because of the publisher ( DRM, price )
game sucks because its theme
game sucks because its platform ( ew , it's a pc title )
game sucks ( because i only want all my games on Steam , .....etc )
game sucks ( it don't have at least 100 achievements , e-penis syndrome )
graphics do not make a great game, who uses a game pad for an rpg, drm free games are where you wanna be, ignore, if you aint got a pc then why are you here, why buy on steam-you never own it, domt get the last bit.

and i happen to rate salvatore as an author, created on of fantasy's great charachters
Never played this, and doubt I ever will, though I'm a huge RA Salvatore fan (read over 30 of his books) and a Star Trek fan 'make it so.' I never liked reflex oriented games (with a few exceptions), and the fact it is so short to boot, and from what I have read Linear, meh. I'm big on RPG's, but, when I have games like Baldurs Gate, Fallout, and Planescape, why would I play this? Maybe when it's on a super sale, I'll look at all the reviews really closely, but until then, I will wait with baited breath for GOG's next realease.

I don't see that as a bad thing... IF you get to brutally murder Drizzt. Let me guess, you don't get to, do you? -_-
