I figured this would happen.

Does this interest anyone who can't run certain games on their computers, now that there will never be subscriptions?
It interests me in the realm of demos because I can quickly try a game out without downloading it. It also interests me in the realm of rentals, but honestly I don't think I could play anything on compressed 720p video even as a rental.

I have zero interest in "owning" anything on the service.
Didn't care much for this experimental do-hickey, now I don't care any less.

I mean, the idea is good, but I can see serious faults in this concept. Oh well, at least now people can have games on the service that are not being held hostage if they don't want to pay for their subscription fee anymore.
Good to see this happen. Got to say, if your connection is any bit of good, you will have a good experience. I am a Mac gamer and have been using this to play Batman:AA and Fear 2. Impressed everyone at work this weekend when I out of no where poped up Fear 2 while waiting on a job to complete. Going to get the new Deus Ex when it hits the service later.
I honestly don't care

I really dont like paying for things that I will not own
Wait, OnLive is still around?
Good. Hopefully it will be dead by Christmas. Biggest threat to PC gaming since they developed SecuROM.
You should have seen the giant area the rented at PAX. It was empty most of the time.
Good Lord, you guys are like vultures! I personally hope it exceeds, that the quality becomes as good as playing it natively, that it becomes powerful enough to replace every console ever, that everyone can play online, that it works perfectly, and that it will never die.

I will never be so cruel to want a business to go out of business. That's a jerk move.

I think it is a good idea, it's just that not everyone out there (Mainly my generation) will think that's cool.

Yes let's kill owning games, lets kill mods let's just have console games on our PC's. Sorry if I won't shed a tear.

That to is a good point.
It is good for niche situations. I agreed with the no modding/dlc sucks. That is the reason that I will not buy Borderlands on there yet, even though it has been priced 50% off twice since i joined.

I can see a market for it though. I just think that some of you guys are being paranoid to think that this is going to replace the "normal" form of PC gaming. Really, right now they are struggling to get games on the service as they have to be recompiled to use onlive's tech.

I really don't see this as any more different than steam, having to buy a license for a game and not actually owning it.

Exactly.

I don't root for the success of things that would have terrible effects on what I enjoy.

Hate to break this to you but you never own any software you only licence it. What OnLive takes away from you is the illusion of owning a game by buying a retail package. OnLive essentially completes the publishers dream of removing any rights we have and thank god it's dying.
