For those that like to take landscape shots, you should really check out the Outerra: Anteworld tech demo. It creates an entirely procedurally generated planet that is surprisingly lifelike and lovely for something so vast, created with fractal technology.
It's great for photographing because you have a free roaming camera that can even go into outerspace and look at the planet from afar, you have control over weather conditions, time of day, and various other features that affect your pictures. It's great fun to play with.
