Hell, I just preordered the collector's edition on amazon. Surprisingly, shipping and postage is only 10 pounds :S. Final price is, at the momem, 94 EUR, too bad the deal for free games doesnt extended to retail copies :D

The deal on GOG.com is also great, but I still prefer retail copies, looks good on my shelf :)

The game's polish and there is no polish language available?
I just can't imagine playing this game in any other language.
Does that mean that us Polish folks won't be able to get this title DRM-free?

Sorry but what the fuck?
This just made me want to boycott this title.#Q&_^Q&Q#LINK:83#Q&_^Q&Q#

There is no way i'm buying this game if there is no polish dubbing, that's what i'm talking about. Please understand that Witcher is polish and for us Poles there is NO WAY to play it in any other language. Subtiltes aren't an option.
And gram.pl version has DRM

But I want a physical copy! But if I buy through gog.com, they get all the money! Agghhh!! Ok, if the game is good enough I may end up buying both copies, you have another pre-order, are you happy?
As The Nameless One says: Done!

evilguy12: Just wondering...if I haven't played the first game will I be able to understand the story in this one?
But why should you do that? Play the first, you have until May.

evilguy12: They should hopefully release the first game on here soon. :)
That would be a great way to generate interest in the release of this new Witcher. Let's say release the first Witcher for $9.99 shortly before the release date of the Witcher 2.

we'll be giving all EU customers a $16 USD credit to spend on anything at GOG.com.
that's it, preordered.

...although having a box ,and all those awesome extras, for my shelf wouldn't be bad either...
shit i think i'll have to get both.

Pre-ordered, too. The game continues to look great, and they've attached a nice set of bonuses. GoG has a real nice business model, and I'm happy to support it with my wallet.
God I hope more publishers open there eyes , get there head out there ass and understand the DRM free model is the way to go!
Personally the more DRM crap a game has the more likely I am to pirate it and I'm the sort of man who actually buys his music and at lest 1-3 games a month.

Kudus for releasing a high profile, high budget game DRM free , defiantly gonna pick this one up closer to release.

Any idea if we can expect the original "Witcher" on GOG?

I got the platinum edition for 15€ on amazon, for the content it's quite a deal.
No way. I missed out on the boxed set for the first game. The one with the book, the medallion, the DVDs, etc. I'm gonna get me a piece of that this time around.
Nah, I'll pass...

...because I already have money saved for the CE version. So, no hard feelings, right ;)
Wow, what's they're doing is very cool :) Gonna pre-order to show my support.
Preordered it.
This is the 1st new game I've bought in over a year, GOGs excluded.
My pc (still in in it's original state) is 5 years old and ready to be replaced.
This sounds like a treat for when it's there.

Although I prefer physical copies too, I've preordered.
I hate DRM and a succesful sale of DRM free TW2 on GOG will hopefully convince other publishers to at least lighten up on their DRM approach.
I couldn't find anything about DRM on the retail editions, so I assume there's probably some form of DRM on it. Especially since the distributor seems to like Ubisoft's DRM.
CDP already confirmed that that kind of DRM will not be used. I'm guessing it will be similar to TW1. Release it with DRM than later patch it out.

[wishful thinking]
By the time TW2 is released, TW1 should be old enough for GOG.
[/wishful thinking]

Questions:
Will the preorder be visible on my account?
Currently I can only see I preordered it on the preorder page.
As it's released here, I assume we'll be getting the same service concerning redownloading as we have with GOGs?

I think they said during E3 that you would be able to understand this one without paying the first one, but that you could import your saved games from the first game if you had played it to ensure story continuity.
I dislike the ambiguity and potential confusion introduced by releasing a new game on Good Old Games, but in terms of PC gaming in general this is absolutely the right approach to publishing a new title. CD Projekt has really put its money where its mouth is by taking the no-DRM approach where few have dared to venture before. That takes some serious guts, and a genuine passion for the platform in question.
