We didn't choose the thug life. We've been blessed with it by fate.

Omerta: City of Gangsters, an organized crime simulation that will let you dominate 1920s Atlantic City as a mafia boss, is available for pre-order on GOG.com for only $33.99. That's 15% off the regular price! The offer ends on Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT, when the game is released.

Omerta. Remember the word. Back in the day, I wouldn't have to lay it out for you, kid. Everybody knew how it works, even a complete cafone. You don't talk to the law. There. Easy as that. Anyone who talks is a rat. And a rat deserves to be popped, just as any vermin. So, whether you are a made man, a goodfella, a wiseguy, or just a thug, you live by that one simple rule. You never talk. Even if the coppers ask you to rat out your worst enemy. Even if by telling them something you could easily wipe out your whole competition. You don't do that. You just don't. Unless you want to end up like Eddie the Eel. Funnily enough, it turned out that he couldn't swim. At least not in the concrete boots he couldn't. But I digress, kid. There's really just one thing you need to remember: Omerta. As in: shut your pie-hole. Capisce?

Omerta: City of Gangsters brings life to the prohibition-era Atlantic City, where you struggle for power against the law enforcement and--most notably--other mob families. It's a multi-layered urban simulation complete with turn-based tactical combat. You're an aspiring gangster slowly recruiting a gang of partners in crime, working your way up the criminal food-chain, and hoping to--one day--become the Capo di tutti Cappi, the boss of all bosses. With over 15 hours of gameplay in each unique playthrough, 20 detailed territories to claim as your own, and a cooperative or competitive multiplayer modes Omerta: City of Gangsters is the organized crime simulator we've been waiting for!

Pre-order Omerta: City of Gangsters before Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT for only $33.99!

Oh, by the way--since this is a pre-order, this technically doesn't count as our 500th release. You'll have to wait for that till tomorrow, and there's a good reason to visit as then, as we have something special planned to go with that milestone.

But now, back to Omerta:

Anguille: XII? What is that?

I am a big fan of Haemimont, they produce good quality games and always have (starting with Tzar). As i am no fan of DRM i was about to wait but now i have no reason to hesitate anymore, thanks GOG. Will preorder this asap. I hope you bring other older gems from Haemimont here (like Rising Kingdoms, Glory of the Roman Empire or the Punic Wars).

Happy guy!

fuzzybunny566: crap, i meant XIII. but in a search just now, i've learned GOG has removed 8 other games that have not yet returned. so we're at like 509 now...hehe.
But XIII is still in my gameslist (i own it)....so you say it's not possible to purchase it anymore?

where did you see that games have been removed?

Cheers

Thanks...

Not so cool to see this....i have 3 of the removed games (the ones which have not been re-added. I think the communication on this is lacking, it should come in the news so we can still purchase a game before it's being removed.

As was said on the latest ones to be removed (re-added or not), if GOG.com knows that a game has to be pulled (XIII), or suspects that the game will have to be pulled (Perimeter, Soldiers), they do inform us. If they get a "You have to pull title X from your catalogue immediately" they can't give prior warning, since they have to pull it at once.
Those I recall not warning us were Space Rangers 1 and 2, as well as Chessmaster. Even for Second Sight we had confirmation that it will be pulled.
Unsure about ObsCure, Republik: The Revolution and Hostile Waters, since I wasn't registered here when they were pulled.
Thanks to Universal Music censorship in Germany I am unable to watch the youtube trailer.

Is there a version of the trailer without UMG music?
re: Scattersweithe
just go to one of the many German sites like Gamestar.de and you will find some videos.

For the game....mmmh i will wait till there are enough reviews about its gameplay.
ATM there is 0 (ZERO) information about this game in any of our mags only
advertising ....and thats always a STOP don't buy the first edition sign ;-)

Schnuff: and thats always a STOP don't buy the first edition sign ;-)
Kalypso isn't a big enough sign for that?
Reminds me of Silent Storm. Is the gameplay similar?
