Paranormal investigation with a retro soul.

Blackwell Bundle, four supernatural adventure games from publishers of Resonance in a DRM-free package, is available on GOG.com for only $9.99 (that’s 33% off!) for the next week.

Blackwell is an indie series of retro-style point-and-click 2D adventures consisting of four games: The Blackwell Legacy, Blackwell Unbound, Blackwell Convergence, and Blackwell Deception. The game’s main character is Rosangela Blackwell, who discovers a family secreat after her only relative, her aunt Lauren Blackwell, dies. She’s a medium, and she finds an unlikely friend in the form of Joey Mallone, a sardonic ghost from 1930s. From now on it’s Rosa’s and her new spirit guide’s job to investigate supernatural cases in NYC and set the troubled spirits to rest.

Blackwell Bundle offers everything a classic-adventure fan would ever want from a new release. The story is engaging, features plenty of drama, some bitter humor, and dialogues that will suck you in like a good ghost novel. The game requires you to to switch between Rosa and Joey to talk to different living or ghostly characters and solve puzzles which are both logical and challenging. Add some retro pixelated graphics, great voice acting, and an original score, and you’ll find the Blackwell Bundle to be a quality adventure series that is not only an easy recommendation for the fans of the genre, but also a good starting point for those who weren’t lucky enough to play some of the classic point-and-clicks from the Golden Age of adventure games 20 years ago.

Blackwell Bundle is available on GOG.com with a 33% special release discount--for the next week you can get the game $5 off for just $9.99. This offer lasts until Tuesday, June 5 at 6:59 AM EDT.
I missed those bundles so now the GOG offer looks tempting. Plus bundles are only for a limited time. It is great that we have these games on our GOG catalogue now. It means more games. It means more customers. It means more publisher and developers will come.

Just waiting for tomorrow's conference. Exciting to wait the new publishers =)

wormholewizards: See DukeNukemForever post. I think the latest one (Deception) wasn't included in bundle before. So i think this deal is kinda exotic + exclusive for $10.

GameRager: I just saw his post after posting mine. It seems this is a very good deal, then. I guess i'd best save up for it(I wonder if it'd be better to buy it when I have money BEFORE it goes to full price, or wait for some sale of indie games on GOG in the upcoming months?..:\..).
So far GOG has the best offer compared to any other DD stores even with no discount. But who knows maybe the game can go cheaper during Steam / GG summer sale?

Gamer's Gate; $20
contains:
The Blackwell Legacy
Blackwell Unbound
The Blackwell Convergence

Steam; $20
Contains all 4 games

Or Maybe you can follow Fred_DM suggestion. There's probability the game might end up in indie bundle again.

htown1980: this seems like a really good deal. 4 games and 4 soundtracks for $10!

anyone know if they run on a mac with the assistance of a wineoey?
I've played through the original Blackwell Trilogy on CrossOver 10.3 on my Mac with no problems (GMA 950 MacBook, 10.6.8). According to the WineHQ, Convergence should work too (and there's no reason to think it wouldn't, since they're all AGS-based, like Gemini Rue, The Shivah, and Time Gentlemen, Please/Ben There, Dan That).

Kunovski: I HATE adventure games where you have more playable characters with different skills who need to cooperate! I HATE THEM I HATE THEM I HATE THEM!

(yes, basically because I suck at them :) otherwise I love them :D
No need to worry: It's usually pretty obvious when to use which character since their skills are VERY different. Joey can't even pick up any items at all (for obvious reasons).

It's also possible GOG's introduction price will lead to or signals a coming pricedrop on the other stores, which would make their sales even more potent.

Well, I bought the bundle... steam has the same quadrilogy for €18,99 / the GoG-Version costs me only €8,20

And yes,... I AM aware, that steam tends to do daily deals as an answer to GoG - so you might be getting it cheaper somewhen this week, but...I don`t care.

We must send the message out from time to time: drm free is better!

Well as others said the bundles usually go for 20 bucks(for just the first 3 games) so I was wondering if waiting for a possible future GOG indie sale would be a good idea. If this bundle is 15 bucks regularly(or is going to be), then if GOG ever put it in an indie sale in the future we might see up to 50% off prices which could lower it to around 8 bucks or so.
4 well-reviewed games for $10? Yeah, I think I might squeeze to that :)

Ok, there we go - on the shelf with some other games I haven't gotten 'round to playing yet! But, if these are fairly quick games to get through (in pleasingly bite-sized chunks) they may well fare better on my completeability chart than some of the other games I've bought :P

GameRager: So no Day of the Tentacle for you, then? :P

;)
does it work like that? then no thanks :)
I like the system from Gemini Rue - you have two characters as well, but each works separately and you can switch when you get stuck with one to continue playing with the other

hmm, perhaps... but even Goblins made me quite crazy with this, at least you only had to solve one screen at the time, but with modern adventure games you've got 7 accessible areas from the start and you just click with everyone on everything :P

Oh, wow, I didn't realise yet Blackwell Deception has been included in the bundle. Great deal! I already have all of them and I payed more than $15 with less extras, and I still don't regret it. Glad to see these games on GOG!

It has 3 playable characters but you mostly switch between them(Sometimes they're together and you can hand inventory from one to the other via menus & other times they're separated and you must use some plot device/item to send items between players. It is pretty fun, at any rate.
seeing as my small investment in the new space quest game doesn't look like it will be happening, i guess i will spend my $$ on other adventure games such as these :)
Instabuy!!!

even exchanging inventory items??? :(( that exceeds my brain capabilities...
