, a dark and disturbing adventure from the makers of [url=http://www.gog.com/game/the_cat_lady]The Cat Lady, with a storyline shifting from nightmares to reality and back in an eyeblink, is available on GOG.com for only $4.99.

[url=http://www.gog.com/game/downfall]Downfall begins in the Quiet Haven Hotel, that was supposed to be a one night shelter for Joe and Ivy Davis. But things soon start to go wrong. Ivy's panic attacks get worse and soon she disappears. In the morning the hotel has changed. Nothing is what it seems anymore. Joe is left alone, trying to understand what is happening, trapped between reality and the nightmare. Seems like the curtain between the mundane world and the twisted realm of horror ruptured, and nothing stands in Joe's defense as the swirling tentacles of darkness reach in to get him. Is there any hope to escape? From writer R. Michalski, creator of The Cat Lady--this is Harvester Games first and well loved adventure game, originally released in 2009. Original music, thousands of lines of dialog and point & click interface provide the perfect 2D adventure - dare you drop in to Quiet Haven Hotel? With strong language, scenes of blood and violence, this game is not suitable for players under the age of 18. MP3 soundtrack included!

Dare to face the unstetteling reality presented with simple means, but great power in Downfall, for only $4.99 on GOG.com.

Novotnus: Both today's games are 2009, so somewhere between old and new.

Fever_Discordia: Downfall and Dark Fall on the same day?
Its almost like someone got confused and double scheduled without even realising it!
Still, no complaints!
It goes further than that: both games feature metaphysical horror stories set in abandoned hotels, and both are currently priced at $4.99. It was by coincidence, but it was one of those cases that look so suspicious, that they actually make people say "there is no such thing as coincidence" ;-)

And today is *almost* Friday the 13th! That can't be a coincidence either! ;)

Yeah, that.
Also, no Tommo? :(

Oh well, at least it's two nice adventure games, so I'll reserve my classic whine for another week. Adventure gaaaaaames!
Very nice game and for once I didn't anticipate the final twist... Definitly worth playing.

But The Cast Lady is even better. :)

Great! The Cat Lady is a brilliant game, one of the most disturbing and stirring adventure games since Sanitarium. I can't wait to play this.

Arent both of these technically indies?....
I already have the Screen7 version, but I think this would look nice on my shelf. I like the developer so I don't mind.

The Cat Lady twists it even more if you analyze it.

Downfall for sure (as one man, initially self-published game).
Darkfall - I don't know... certainly not big AAA title.
I hope we're not stretching it when we put The Cat lady and Downfall as a series. I played The Cat Lady first (Downfall will be played as well :D) and after the events in that game, I figured it would be natural to have both games as a series of sorts :) Let me know if that's cool with you guys :)

I played Downfall first, The Cat Lady second, and I think they should be played both to get the right experience, so yeah, it's cool :D

With a struck of luck our blue fried gets his US package and I'll be able to buy Covert Action at least.
Still - some MicroProse flight sim would be nice .....
