, a dark and disturbing adventure from the makers of [url=http://www.gog.com/game/the_cat_lady]The Cat Lady, with a storyline shifting from nightmares to reality and back in an eyeblink, is available on GOG.com for only $4.99.

[url=http://www.gog.com/game/downfall]Downfall begins in the Quiet Haven Hotel, that was supposed to be a one night shelter for Joe and Ivy Davis. But things soon start to go wrong. Ivy's panic attacks get worse and soon she disappears. In the morning the hotel has changed. Nothing is what it seems anymore. Joe is left alone, trying to understand what is happening, trapped between reality and the nightmare. Seems like the curtain between the mundane world and the twisted realm of horror ruptured, and nothing stands in Joe's defense as the swirling tentacles of darkness reach in to get him. Is there any hope to escape? From writer R. Michalski, creator of The Cat Lady--this is Harvester Games first and well loved adventure game, originally released in 2009. Original music, thousands of lines of dialog and point & click interface provide the perfect 2D adventure - dare you drop in to Quiet Haven Hotel? With strong language, scenes of blood and violence, this game is not suitable for players under the age of 18. MP3 soundtrack included!

Dare to face the unstetteling reality presented with simple means, but great power in Downfall, for only $4.99 on GOG.com.
Great day for adventure games!
All right... now it's time to complain about 'no Harvester on GOG' :)

Well, I'm now looking forward to a review of the game by you that is more fair than the first review that has been posted on the game card. That person seemed to have reviewed the trailer and screenshots.
Okay, wishlisted, although, I did find Cat Lady a bit on the confusing side.

Novotnus: Both today's games are 2009, so somewhere between old and new.

XYCat: lol 2009 is somewhere between new and right now
5 years was at least earlier GOG's cut-off age for "classic", and by that count they've either just been deemed classics, or aren't far off to be considered ones, depending on when in the year the games were released.

Though, on another level, I do agree, I still have trouble comprehending that stuff from 2000 is "old" (Icewind dale 2 is from 2003, that's pretty recent, isn't it... oh, wait, that was over ten years ago... :-/ ).

JudasIscariot: Frankenzombieghoulkatze. German: when you need to make a word out of other words :D
Shouldn't that be Frankenzombieghoulkatze's monster? I mean, if we want to get technical...
Nice release.

I already own this game and played it through. But I'm wondering if the bug at the end is fixed in the GOG version. When I chose "give up" in the end scene, the game always crashed. I know that giving up is never a real option, but I wanted to see all ends of the story. So I reloaded the game several times, always chosing an other option. Only "giving up" crashed the game.
GOG is going to just have a permanent wallet link isn't it?

It's my made up term and I say naaaahhhhh :)
Nice release, wishlisted for now!
Another game owned, but not yet played, from another vendor. That version happy deleted to make room for the proper GOG purchase. Thanks for bringing this, and the other horror title today. Snagged 'em both.

Keep this up and you'll be able to have a Fall Insomnia sale featuring only games with "fall" in the title. ;)

Yes, 'Surrender' ending plays just fine in 1.4 version

Ok thanks. This is 1.4. Then it's fine. I played 2.0.

Yeah, you'll miss the new font 2.0 introduced, but all the endings work :)
And, depending on popularity (and mostly - greenlight votes) it might get a remake with more The Cat Lady - like gameplay.
Oooh, interesting release! Wishlisted for now until my bank account recovers from all the previous sales! ;-)
