A game with eight legs to stand on!

Octodad: Dadliest Catch, a heart-touching story of a Nautical-American struggling to be the best parent and husband dry land has ever seen while keeping his true nature from his loved ones, is available 20% off on GOG.com. That's only $11.99 for the first week.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about daily life. Octodad's existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family. In this original, imaginative indie title, you'll be challenged to live through a full day in Octodad's life, and even venture outside the house. There's tons of physics toys to play with. Jointed objects, springs, slippery surfaces, and more! Combine that with visual style inspired by the American 1950's aesthetic (but with futuristic twists), and what you get is an appealing bundle of slapstick fun you will never forget.

Wrap oll of your available arms around Octodad: Dadliest Catch on GOG.com, for only $11.99. The 20% off release discount offer lasts until Thursday, February 6, at 5:59PM GMT.

Niggles: Amok.while I appreciate your general contributions Fenixp is right, this is a GOG release thread for Pete's sake. Have some respect. NOT a chance to advertise Humble. Have some decency.
And you do it on a regular basis. Do you work for them or something?

amok: hmm... maybe I should have started a dedicated thread instead? is that what you mean? or are you disputing what I said?
in case u hadn't checked its a Gog forum.its a Gog release thread. I would have thought your post would have been more appropriate in game deal thread ie where non Gog deals go.

Yeah, actually, that would be far better, and far more respectful towards GOG. You'd get instantly banned for doing that on boards of most other retailers - the least you can do is show a bit of appreciation towards that and not abuse it.

Magnitus: The game looks cool from the preview video, but something nags me.

Probably pointless to debate this in a imaginary world where an octopus has human-like intellect, can survive outside a body of water, mate with a human and produce viable offsprings, but... how come his kids look 100% human?
Do you realize he is a freaking octopus and can't talk, yet he has a regular job and lives with a family that doesn't realize he's human, don't you? It's the very concept of the game: it's humorous because of how much unrealistic the situation actually is.

amok: And for those who think this is important - Humble sell it now for the same price (-20% and in $), it is DRM free, but they also have a native Linux version.

So you have the choice. On one hand you get the game DRM free + Linux + Steam key, on the other you get the game DRM free + avatars.... I know which one I am going to get. (and the dev get 75% instead of 70%)

I like Humble Bundle, but i despise Steam and their DRM policy, to the point that when Humble Bundle sells games i'm interested in that are Steam-only, i either pass on them or buy them but use the custom slider to send all my offer to charity. If i buy the game, i would buy it on GOG for sure, PRECISELY because they don't offer a Steam Key.

What's the matter with you?
The freeware original should be added to the bonus content of this game. Vote for it:

Yes, this game released also in Humble Store, for all 3 platforms, DRM-free.
Very unexpected, nice.

Twentiethed!!

Looks different. But then GOG tends to pick ummm "interesting' titles at times. Anyone notice there's more 'simulations' released in the last few months generally speaking?
