nijuu: Why havent we got Sacred 2 Gold here yet when we have Sacred Gold already??.
avatar
JMich: Isn't there some sort of regional restriction in place? So until that's worked out, it can't appear on region free sites.
Something about expansion - wasn't available in US for a long time (UK version only). Im not sure what version the Steam Sacred 2 Gold is though.
GG has it DRM free however

It should be here. It's on gamersgate and DRM free, so there's no excuse! :P

Keevek's post. So there seems to still be some region restriction, could it be 1C (usual suspect)?

PMIK: It won't run on windows 7? are you sure? The game is not that old.
avatar
Foxhack: Many games that aren't that old won't run on Windows 7. Usually because the programmers did something that Windows 7 doesn't allow anymore, and the games never received a patch to fix the issues.
It runs perfectly on Win 7!

That too, we never got the expansion before, again because of the separate publisher issue.

I caved in and bought the steam one because i couldn't find somewhere decent to get the expansion. physical copy
As an aside, for someone who quit Sacred 1 because the respawn rate was too high, does Sacred 2 have the same problem?

I don't recall if that actually happens without actually restarting your session but it's possible it happens after a while, it should be slower in any case but faster compared to lower difficulties when you're getting to the higher ones.

Kind of. I remember in Sacred Gold goblins at the start were level 1-2, along with the wargs. If I went back to town to hand in a quest and came back to where I saw those enemies last, most likely at least some of them had respawned, they were still levels 1-2, so if i was lets say lvl 4-5 by then, they would be gray enemies that wouldn't aggro on me, not worth the 1xp they give to kill either.

In Sacred 2, the whole world respawns each play session. Some roaming mobs of enemies (between 4-10, or even battles of 2 different types of mobs fighting eachother 10v10) will respawn every now and then. I think it has something to do with teleporting to a new town perhaps.

It's not a bad thing necessarily. In Sacred 2 the mobs scale with your level the entire game FYI. That is also an ok thing, not good or bad. It's a huge game just like Sacred Gold thats why I liked it so much.

Sacred 2: Gold is on sale on steam for those who don't know yet. Maybe the summer sale will get some Sacred action, for those who haven't got it. For those who do buy it, don't forget the community patch - v important!
The game is also on sale at Gamer's Gate DRM free for the same price, $9,99, in dollars at least.

Edit: Gamer's gate sale ends in roughly 9 hours.
