Pheace: Basically very unrealistic expectations, but that can't be a surprise :)
No it can't, because I deem games with DRM having much less value to me. ;) I always have to take into account that I might want to or even have to rebuy it again later (e.g. if it appears DRM-free at some point).

Probably better to just wait for the DRM-free version :)
Oh yeah forgot Darksiders 2 with all relevant DLC, I could get it for peanuts too (with DRM; more peanuts for the lack of DRM). But maybe not from this year's sale then.

EDIT: Darksiders 2, not Darklands 2, albeit that would be nice too.

(GOG summer sales)

amok: And all sales was just repeats from the mid-summer day sale, after that day you have seen all that they have to offer, made it a little bit pointless.
I fail to see that as a downside, though. I loved it that they didn't make me run after daily deals, but I could get all the games I wanted in one swoop if I wanted. Rest of the days were for people who missed or couldn't afford them that particular time.

If only their cart system would have worked better, it was a bit hard to add a couple dozen games to cart in order not to have to buy each of them separately.

For those of you who aren't able to check the store.

Flash:

-XCOM Enemy Unknown 75%
-Legend of Grimrock 75%
-Bit Trip Runner 2 50%
-Far Cry 3 40%

Daily:

-Chivalry Medieval Warfare 75%
-Darksiders 2 80%
-Sniper Ghost Warriror 2 85%
-Surgeon Simulator 2013 66%
-Call of Duty Black Ops 2 50%
-FTL 75%
-Walking Dead 75%
-Just Cause 2 80%
-Anno 2070 50%
-Fez 50%
Ok, now today's sales are much better. Darksiders 2 definitely brought, and I'm tempted by the decent enough discount on far cry 3.

That's a damn good discount on X com as well.
Nothing tickling my fancy either have some of them or games i just dont want.
Another day of terrible sales.
Come on giant Skyrim DLC sale!

I got the three games I wanted in day 2, and after this they had nothing to tempt me with.

It is strange to frontload this, as if they did not want people to check in daily after. It also left a feeling of a which was generally "meh - seen it already, nothing new here", which is a big part of me feeling it was an underwhelming sale.

It would have worked better ending in the giant sale, not starting with it.

There I thought I didn't want anything else, but at just above $6 that's really tempting. I may pick it up with Bioshock Inifinite tonight.

I still would like to know what's the difference between buying 3 games at once or buying them every 3 days.

If you asked me, I'd rather buy them at once.

The difference is opening up gog and thinking "I wonder what will be on sale today" and "god, is it not over yet? I hoped they got back to normal by now"
Today I will get Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and thinking about Black Ops II

The DLCs were already on sale yesterday during the Legendary Edition one (at 50%)

Fever_Discordia: although The Cave was already back up to only 50% off, don't know what happened there, ended up checking the whole catalogue and got loads of old stuff for cheap -
oh man... I had The Cave on my short list of things to buy after I finished going through everything. I can't spring for it back up at 7.49 tho.

That wasn't a sale, they're cheaper to get in stores.
Anything below 66% can't even rightly be called a sale, that's just inflation compensation.
