Yesterday, I took my friend to beautiful beach and paid for her dinner since it is her last time seeing that beautiful beach before move to the different state.

Also, I was the only one whose truly support of her marriage since lot of people were opposing to it. I tried to make yesterday a very memorable day for her before she move away.

So that's my good deed. :)
Zombie Shooter 2 as my runner-up please.

Today my mother was having difficulty at her job (She works at a gas station). She was busy with alot of customers, so I stocked the coolers for her since she couldn't get away from the register. This took about an hour to finish
I'd love to have inMomentum, but I don't think I qualify because my parents, to their credit, did a darn good job of training me as an Anti-Syndicate operative before the organization even existed!

However, if I do, I helped a fellow co-worker at my workplace get her laptop to correctly output onto the projector she was going to use for a major weekly meeting last Friday (02/03/2012). I could have let someone else handle it, but since I knew how to help her, I did. Heck, even if I didn't know, I would have still tried to help! That's just the kind of person I am (hence why I asked if I was eligible above).
volonteered to clear snow from the streets, 1600 of us cleared most of the main streets. But it keeps falling :(
Me, my partner and her mother went to MOTAT (Auckland) and we asked "Where in Auckland do you live?" because there is free entry to people (and their family) from South Auckland as long as there was proof of address. We didn't know this at the time and charged full price.

When we found this out my partner's mother went to the counter to ask about this as she confirmed on entry that she lives in a region in South Auckland however was told that this needed to be done on entry and was refused a refunded (and bamboozled with facts/technical information etc...).

After this, I went in there and asked exactly why we were refused free entry and why no refund would be given. It appears that because I have a "Y" chromosome that this was no issue and I got mother-in-law (sorta) her money back.

Shame on the people trying to confuse her in order to not give her her money back.

I've been scannig lecure notes for one of my friends who can't attend due to having a RL job. Just sent the last one via email to her.

It is... but it's a good cause all the same.

TCMU2009: My friend and I have both been inspired by Shane Claiborne (if you don't know who he is, look him up), so I went with her church's ministry to Louisville today to feed the homeless. We set up a van on the side of the road, and served bowls of lasagna and passed out drinks to everyone who came by. No pamphlets, no proselytizing, just food and conversation. And let me tell you, that's all these people want; to be treated like human beings. Some of the people we served were actually good friends with the church group cause they've done this so many times. Everyone was good natured and friendly to each other, everyone was extremely grateful and kind, and everyone shared their food if they had enough. Then we went to some of the tent camps they have set up around the city. It's awe inspiring how resourceful people are when they have nothing. One guy lived way back in the woods near an overpass, and built a cabin sized tent solely out of old billboard ads (they're just tarps.) The companies apparently give them to this guy for free after they change them!

I'm not typing this to win Syndicate. In fact I almost feel guilty. But I want people to know that there are actually a lot of Christians out there who actually care about people, not just conversion. We aren't all Gingrich's and Santorums.

QC: Let's see, how many copies.... Yeah, you've automatically earned one if you're still in it.
Thanks. Sure, I guess I'm still in it.
I'm getting the impression that this competition is about done, entry-wise. If anyone else is planning on entering then please let me know now. Otherwise I'll set the new deadline to the end of Friday and determine the winners over the weekend.
When presented with an easy opportunity to score, I passed to my team mate so he could complete his first ever hat-trick.

Last minute entry.
(Syndicate)
I acted all goofy and silly, created thread for goofy and silly persons and I hope I made someones day slightly better with that. I nominated WB_Ghiro in someone who deserves it contest and he won...I know that wasn't exactly my doing, but I couldn't help but smile when I found out so I hope his reaction was same.

Now something non-internet related.
When my friend didn't have any food in school I shared my lunch with him. We both starved but at least not so much. And I just don't have much opportunities to do nice things (I have no idea if its because I don't try hard enough or what) so I will mention one more thing internet related, I created avatar for Druidshinobi :) .
Hmmmm I was always taught it is not really a decent thing to brag about whatever good you have done. But I think it should be ok, if I just share here with you something that I have been doing over the past few days. It is ok, if you consider my entry invalid for "Syndicate" competition. But here is what I have actually done and been planning to do even before I registered on GOG:
During the past few days I have been acting as a lecturer/excursion leader for a big bunch of schoolkids in a children library.
The excursion/lectures were about my major, which is engineering, and therefore I was invited to do it. That is an FOC (or voluntary) work to do and all of us (a team of around 15 people of my age and sometimes older) had almost no experience of dealing with kids (ok, except for one guy, but he kept it secret).
Now, do not get me wrong - I DO have teaching experience (or noone would risk inviting me to something this important), but it is only within university framework. All the time before the thing started I was a little hesitant - will the kids like my stories? Will I be able to keep them entertained AND disciplined enough to listen at the same time? I mean, I would like them to have fun, but also to maintain a level which would be understandable and "right" (simple, but not wrong for the sake of being simple).
So when the thing took place we were all a bit nervous, but eager and the best happened. Kids were mostly very interested, very responsive and attentive. We had all ages from 5 to 17, 150-200 people totally. So there was another challenge - how does one pick the right words to speak about engineering to someone who mostly talks "mom and dad"? And how does one talk to guys and girls, who are feeling they are the center of the world - the wisest and the eldest? The obvious answer is - trial and error. Fortunately, the errors were kept to a minimum and the trials were mostly successful. I had 80-90% positive feedback from all participants and onlookers. And that made me happy. This is the happiness I wanted to remember just now and share with you guys a bit - this should be the right thread, shouldn't it?
I wish good luck to all entrants and want to say Thank You to the gifter.
Hmm, interesting idea, though not entirely comfortable with the idea of "Hey look what I did." However, somebody did something nice for me; does that count? (I mean someone here on the forums).
