OmegaX: I agree that Portal shouldn't be there.

I haven't played any Rayman game but aren't those platformers? Portal is a puzzle game so it shouldn't be there either.

MonstaMunch: And seriously, don't don't want Rayman Forever, even for free? It's one of my favorite games of all time.
I am not sure if I would appreciate it as much someone else would, so I am giving some room for others
Yes Rayman Forever should be on the list, actual I don't know not having played it but wouldn't mind trying it :-D
'Inforcom Text Adventures' all lumped together is a LOT of games in one!
Expected more Sierra stuff too, also suprised @ LA Noire, more of a thinking mans GTA...
I actually do agree that Portal 2 is an adventure game (I wouldn't say that about the first one, though). But yeah, the list is even weirder than TOP 100 lists tend to be.

Check your PM. Also, this is one game where you can be forgiven for using the 99 lives cheat. It doesn't make it easy to complete the game, it just makes it possible ;)

Well if Portal can join the list, I'd say Rayman Forever should be there. Feels like more of an adventure to me. I have the game already though. +rep for trying to spread the game around! :)

Ah... too bad I'm too late adding Rayman Forever to that list. X___X Maybe next time, MonstaMunch.

;) Yeah, it should be on that list.
Nice to see Obsidian, Amber, Black Dahlia and John Saul's Blackstone Chronicles on the list even if they should all rank alot higher but given the widespread bias that favours 3rd person i'm not surprised.

Also nice to see two games from Amanita making the list.

Riven as #5 is naturally a crock of shit, Riven is #1 in any such list

Nice to see Lexis Numérique In Memoriam there, silly that eXperience 112 is not there

Jonhatan Boakes deserved more than just Dark Fall, although i'm not sure if the entry relates to The Journal or the series as a whole. In any case The Lost Crown certainly belongs on that list.

The Portal games obviously don't belong in any adventure list.

I guess it's not completely terrible in terms of titles listed, the assigned positions are laughable though, but it's a shame that the 3rd person bias continuosly fucks up these lists and makes room for mediocre 3rd person games but leaves out 1st person games that are all around better games. Oh well...

Thank you sir!
I'm playing Psychonaughts at the moment and that seems to have rekindled my love for platformers so I'll give this a go after!
Actually, Psyconaughts should maybe have been on this list if you squint and turn you head sideways, still at least Stacking is there flying the Double Fine flag - just a shame theres no PC version!
The only Adventure game I ever really liked - Legend of the Sword - is not even on the list ?!?
So, uh, I found this list a few days ago, and decided to work my way through it, playing the games I have never played before. My question is...what games really should have been on the list, that aren't on the list? Which adventure games, absent here, should be in any top 100 adventure games list?
Gabriel Knight:Sins of the Fathers is on 16th?what the hell?
Game X is only in Yth place? What the hell, top 100 from the internets, I trusted you!!11 ;/

But seriously, Portal? Eh.

Yeah way too high
There's no way that Simon the Sorcerer 2 is better than The Dig.

Also, Ben There, Dan That and Time Gentlemen, Please should be on the list.

Portal definitely has no place on that list.
