2 x 6950 in crossfire mode (using Radeon Pro to force Dirt 2 profile with AFR)
Ultra Settings
Textures on very large
SSAO disabled
Ubersampling Off
Vysnc On
Getting 40-60fps at 2560x1600 fullscreen with VYSNC on or 40-80fps with VYSNC off but I get a fair bit of screen tearing and flickering probably due to crossfire not working properly.
SSAO doesn't seem to make much difference on or off during usual gameplay but the framerate really drops during cutscenes, to low 20fps.
Hopefully I will be able to run with ubersampling enabled with a proper crossfire profile.
I can certainly see there is room for further optmisation through game patches and driver updates.
Considering how beautiful the game looks I am VERY happy with the framerate.
It is better looking than Crysis 2, with alot more going on but runs at a better framerate, at least for me.
i have 2 5850 in CF and using the dirt profile (no need to use RadeonPro, just copy/paste witcher2.exe and rename it to dirt2.exe) and the behaviour is still very weird.
During scenes it works pretty well (better if cinematic depth of field is disabled) but during game play in the camp it goes from high 60s to 30s. Inside the tent there are times when i see 70s and then when talking to triss with no aparent reason it goes to 37 or so. Outside of the tent again the fps go up and down a lot. It's still better than using one card (not by much, i was getting avg 45 fps with one 5850) but it's clear that a driver/profile for just the witcher 2 will make crossfire work much much better and hope to get to more stable 60fps.
