And what do you mean they took it down? I just went to thewitcher.com patch and there was a gog version to download, so either they are pulling very slowly, or the patch is as good as any..

Well it does fix performance issues i didn't have and DLC issues i didn't have, generally, this is a really really small patch.... but it does increase performance.. so thats something i guess

Indeed.... but game (and my mods) work fine, just not the launcher ;)

And same here. It does not become permanently unresponsive though. It will unfreeze eventually.

I've installed the patch (GOG-Version), and it works.

unfortunately, for me it's still unplayable, because I'm left-handed. It is - even with this patch - not possible to bind the Movement-keys to "oklö" (<- German Keyboard-Layout).

A possible solution could be my Gamepad, a "Thrustmaster Dual-Trigger 3-1", but the Game doesn't detect it. So... still I can't play the game :(

but thats damn annoying. i want it to be responsive instead of having to alt+ctrl+Delete on it

Can i safely move my mods and dlc again into cookedpc folder?

Or do i need to wait until i can get the DLC from the launcher windows.

Btw launcher doesn't wan't to connect to server and is offline.

Quickly tested the patch and in addition to listed fixes, it also fixed the >1920 desktop resolution problem. No need to fiddle with that anymore to get it running. \o/

Same here. I use OKL; instead of WASD (on English keyboards, those keys are just to the left of the Enter key). The key binding thing won't let me use ; and it won't let me use most of the buttons around OKL;. I have a PS2 pad plugged in through a USB adaptor but TW2 won't detect it even though everything else will.

I can't find the link for the GoG patch on http://en.thewitcher.com/patch/

"For the GOG.com version of The Witcher 2, please use the patch available at the GOG.com website. " ... but where ???
