Hi,

I'd like to bring attention to users like liltimmypoccet who post 'reviews' of games (e.g. see https://www.gog.com/game/kindred_spirits_on_the_roof_full_chorus). In these reviews, they spill nothing but hate and insult. Now, I don't know what this person's problem is. Maybe they've been abused in their sad life, maybe they only forget to take their pills. Who knows.

My point is, why does gog allow this?

Yes, free speech is important. Being able to express honest opinion is important.

However, if you'll pay close attention, our Timmy isn't writing about the game. This person is directly (and brutally) insulting anyone who has, does, or will, play the mentioned game. Does repeatedly so, too.

Now, Gog... why don't you try to do something so your users don't have to take this kind of insulting and then try to pretend 'everything's ok'?

If nothing else (and it really would be just the minimum of what you can do), you could add a special collapsed section for low rated reviews, so that only users who *really* want to read garbage like that can click and open it. I know I won't.

Isn't it a multi account a guy who was banned here for posting "pedo shit" under every single released VN?

Anyway; just tip "verified owners reviews only" (it's in the sidebar on the left from where reviews are) and you won't have an issue with shitty reviews from people who think it's a place to push their beliefs/political agenda.

I guess that could work as a workaround, thanks. Still would be nice if low-rated would be hidden by default though. I doubt the filter sticks on amnezic browsers.

GOG staff probably won't read that here and they probably don't check the reviews either, but you could try to write a support ticket and complain about it, that way someone has to take notice.

even as one of GOG's weebs, I don't mind reviews like that, In fact weirdly I find them amusing and get a laugh from them.

plus I am not the biggest fan of VNs either, so..take that as you will.

Won't the review disappear if others are more popular? Just write* a better review, then let all the readers confirm it with their bountiful votes.

Ok guys, I get it. Done feeding the trolls. Anyone else has anything to add, cool. Other than that, Gog please do something about hatred around here. Read above (and below) for a couple more candidates for the 'positive' hate community, as they call it.

If you believe that any game on GoG store contains pedophilic (or any other illegal) content, then you're within your rights - and in certain jurisdictions, it's just your legal responsibility - to report such content to the police. I urge you to do so. Here are few tips of how to do so: https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/violent-crime/cac

If the game doesn't contain illegal content and is just something "you don't like" then perhaps;
a) stop giving a fuck about this game
b) go and make a social campaign to advocate ban of those things if you believe they're harming society;

Shitposting at GoG forum/GoG reviews won't help you change anything.
