Gog staff don't have the tools, time, or numbers to police the whole forum + store on their own. If you see a problem, you can report it to staff; Chandra is one of the ones currently dealing with this.

And with that solution, the user also won't see totally legitimate reviews from people who own the game elsewhere, or have owned it in the past (i.e. disc version), and are perfectly qualified to write legitimate reviews of it.

Thus, that quoted solution isn't a good one.

The user mentioned in the OP, as well as a few others like him (and/or the same user's other troll accounts) has a habit of publishing troll comments in the section that is meant for Reviews.

The only real & good solution is for GOG staff to intervene, and remove the fake reviews which are actually just troll comments, and prevent the troll users from posting more of them.

Pointless and meaningless reviews should be removed, hateful or not. That person did not review the game, simple as that. That his review was trashy and made him look like an ass is beside the point.
