Yes, it's true.

Those people were assholes.

Hey not fair! She said for $100 I could "Do anything you want honey."

Which you must be one of if you decided to completely ignore the point of my question and just use that as an excuse to rant about tinyE.

Looks like a glitch to me.

I willi admit though, that Hollow Sun sounds like a good name for... something. I was a bout to same that it would be a good band name, but it sounds a bit to emo for that. Maybe a game dev studio?
That's totally fake. Everyone knows it's octagonal in shape.

zeogold: No offense to you, but, uh...why exactly have you guys not hired somebody who's ACTUALLY from the community to be the community manager? Plenty of people around here, tinyE himself included, have stated that they'd be perfectly willing to do the job for free. If not promote them to this position, at least open up some sort of assistant position. These guys have more time, experience, and motive than you and others do.

Cyraxpt: No, nope, nein. You're getting the wrong idea here, the community manager is the bridge between us and gog, someone that actually works for gog and works for things to get better around here, this isn't a title to given to someone to the sake of it, it's a paid job.

What the current community manager can do is actually interact to us, not pop in every 2 or 3 weeks to say something and vanish for the rest of the time, what the current community manager could do is create a thread to try to understand what is going on here and, perhaps, maybe, possibly... try to fix some of the problems?
Ok, yeah, I realize that, but he's obviously not listening to us if he's threatening a well-loved member and doing diddly squat about the people we ACTUALLY keep complaining about. As I said, why not at least open up an "assistant" position of some sort whereby the ACTUAL community members can volunteer, or the community itself can appoint these people? It would solve a lot of problems.
Im probably too new to understand this madness but i hope gog isn't shutting down. :-/ also i hope gog and tinye arent taking this subject hard. I mean it looks like tinye just standing up to scammers, while gog responding to reports as a friendly chat and then everything being pretty much blown out of proportion. Well this is the internet i suppose ;-)

tort1234: uh...did you not read the post by Theoclymenus and others ? tinyE was abusing his popularity in various ways and he was getting away with it because he was popular and no one had the courage to straighten him out.

1. He routinely called people "Assholes"
2. He insulted other people's mothers with very crude remarks and unfunny sex "jokes"
3. He was throwing around the word "scammer" with no proof.
4. He was acting as a forum bully.
Hi I am new who has been lurking around for some time here and coming over from steam because steam community sucks.

It is a good thing he got warned and not just outright banned unlike steam.

Atleast gog has given him the opportunity to rectify the error of his ways. He has been given a second chance. Unlike steam community that just outright bans people.

This is why I like gog more than steam.

Konrad: Huh, so this seems a little awkward.

Just to clarify, yeah it was I who messaged TinyE. Probably came off way more harsh than I had intended, but I was mostly hoping reach out, talk, and figure out what's up.

Wasn't intended to be a big, scary warning based on all those... uh... forum rules we have here. Ain't no one getting banned out of the blue like that.

Are you kidding? I would be first on his list to ban (permanently). At least make sense and nominate UNBIASED people for the job. This has got to be your worst ( problem solving situation ) that I have seen. And don't bother trying to make yourself look clever with a smartarse reply..

One more reason to give him the job.
I don't mind being called a bully, but having tort complain about it is like have the Pope complain about someone being Catholic.

This isn't the problem. The problem is that it's bringing up the old issue to light of GOG not bothering to take care of its loyal community, or taking care of it in the wrong way.

The fact that you and tort take my complaint about GOG and twist it into an opportunity to complain about tinyE pretty much proves the fact that you're a couple of trolls and removes even the slightest bit of validity either of you could have. You do realize that, right?

A'ight, that's enough trollbaiting for one day. I really need to curb this habit of mine and just ignore you people more.
