Telika: Adrift
A game about being on a boat, adrift, and, uh, looking around, and not being able to do much about it, but, well, being there.

Nice. For people who basically like, hm, being there. And stuff. Actually no, no stuff. Just being there.
You work in advertising, don't you? :P
Update:

Antichamber got a release date - 31/01/2013. Looks like Steam only.

new screens from Among the Sleep

Cactusquid's website is working again

It is impossible to find out anything about the development of Fader, may need to move it down to the R.I.P. sections... Mortem is also put on indefinite hold.

Middens now have a Mac version: http://rpgmaker.net/games/3843/downloads/
I just noticed that RAMBO: LAST BLOOD is not on the list.

You know, I'd say it is a bit off the beaten track, somewhat. A bit. In a way. To some extend. I'd say.

I'm not sure if this counts but i found Imscared - A Pixelated Nightmare as an intersting way to present a horror game.

I just tried it, and I agree. There is a bit of a meta-game thingy going on with messages popping up in your game-folder and so on. It goes on the list, thanks.

I had a little ponder about this. It looks like a good game, and I am looking forward to it - but can it be considered to be experimental?

I've not seen a game that is both explorational and in space with a realistic look to it. The closest thing to this would be that nasa game.

But graphical fidelity aside, the game itself is basically "just" a 3D action-adventure? There are quite a few explorational games out there, and some set in space. The narrative (from what I have seen) is more typical sci-fi, the graphics are good, but still not unusual today.

Granted there is a few games on the list which is explorational, but there is some other angles to them also. For example FRACT - which is based on musical visualisation, Proteus EP - which is all about the soundscapes the player makes when exploring, and Experiment 112 - which is based on surveillance as a gameplay mechanic and a non-controllable avatar (I am constantly considering taking Experiment 112 of the list also, by the way)

I am not saying the Lifeless Planet is a bad game, but does it really have an experimental angle? In one way the production may be seen as one (1 man production team using new tools to create AA game), but there are several other Indies doing the same, and I am not sure if it could be considered experimental, more like part of the constant evolution of game development.

I am also not saying you are wrong - but convince me :).

I'm not saying you're wrong either, lol. It's a grey area sort of game i guess. It's not usual that i am interested in an indie game production, but this one is definitely on my wishlist. This thread gave me a chance to give people some awareness for it, so hopefully someone else in the future can check the game out, and see what it's all about.

It could have innovative things included in it.

you are right, and the game is not complete yet. I'll put it on the "in development" section for now, and see how it fares later.
Ooh, pick me, I've got one:

The Gostak

A text adventure that is half written in jibberish - which you must attempt to decipher as you go along...
